It reminds me of some androids that are in Ghost in the Shell (Stand Alone Complex). They did look "realistic", but it was quite obvious that they were machines.

Blech. I thought they had given up on making "realistic human" looking robots after it was discovered that something that looks almost human is far creepier than something just vaguely humanoid. Creepy to the point where it repulses real humans.

If you don't get it spot on then it looks extremely creepy. The fact that this one has spasm glitches probably doesn't help!
