Have you tried removing the files manually before reinstalling again?

There should be a Photoshop folder. Delete it.

Oi, my computer hates Spybot too. It crashes before I can scan not even a quarter of the files. :x Ad-Aware, luckily, works fine.


It probably stops working because of the Restore Point feature.


How do I get rid of the Restore Point feature? I'm very, very pathetic and slow with computers, so I need very specific instruction. I'm hoping that you're kind and patient (I'm sure you am) enough to help a measly ol' sap like myself out.

On Windows XP:

Right Click My Computer > System Restore tab > Check Turn off System Restore.

I'm still getting error -115 when I try and install Photoshop 7.0 - I tried changing the colour profiles after a suggestion, but it still didn't work >.<

i was wondering if anyone had any ideas to help me. i'm not at home at the moment, so i'm not using my computer. and this computer has a wheel mouse, but when i try using the wheel (mainly in internet explorer) it crashes IE and makes it close. i tried downloading a new driver for the mouse, but i asked me to put in a cd which i dont have. does anyone have any suggestions?

The file could be corrupted, go to device maneger to see if their is a problem with it, or buy a new kind of mouse.

the control panel thinks it's a logitech mouse when it's a microsoft one.... could that be causing the problem?

There's no point buying a new mouse, coz the mouse works fine. it's also not my computer, so i wouldn't bother! it's just bugging me

Installing the wrong driver will cause problems. Remove your mouse from the Device Manager and reboot so it will redetect your mouse.

mite try that. depends how lazy i'm feeling tomorrow. i'm only here for another week or so, and then it's back to my own computer :) (but unfortunately when i get home i'm moving out of halls so i'm loosing my lovely fast internet connection :()

I'd just like to know.. what is the codec required to play videos recorded from digital cameras? Before I formatted the computer, it could play after I installed a codec pack (Nimo Codec Pack or something). Right now when I try it, it only plays the sound. Of course, I could just reinstall the whole pack, but I'd rather just install the specific codec needed. Does anyone know what it is?

It depends if it's a MPEG file or an AVI file. Coming from a digital camera, I would assume that the video is uncompressed.
