:o

Gambit always uses the cards! Even Wikipedia says so!

Noo I know that Gambit chargers the cards with kinetic energy... but there is a scene where Gambit makes the cards float in front of him, then he sends them at Wolverine with a hand gesture.

No, that he cannot do. He can actually charge ANYTHING he touches with energy, but telekenesis is beyond his abilities.

It's so sad when moviemakers ruin a good thing. Gambit's specialized powers (plus his willingness to flirt with anything with two legs) were what made him such a great ancillary character.

Who says he can't do such things with Kinetic energy? We can just say he's really good at using cards, and can do interesting things with his powers. LIKE MAGIC! It can all be explained away with magic. ;)

Interesting note bout a certain character...
Wolverine's ex had the power of tactile hypnosis, right? There was a mutant named Murmur who had such powers, and was part of the CANADIAN super hero team, Alpha Flight.

I even have proof of this! :D

Star Trek

Loved it. But... Red Matter?
Seriously Mr. Abrams? RED MATTER!

And the Constitution, with it's shiny new Anti-matter missiles, and it's awesome sauce buddies, is STILL an ugly smurf ship.

My thoughts exactly.

You have no idea how loud I gasped when I saw Leonard Nimoy. I must've have spilt my popcorn everywhere. Anton Yelchin annoyed me a bit though, but in a cute adorable way. I guess it's the curly hair.

I really enjoyed the movie :)

I really enjoyed it also.

Another one:

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

It was eh. Eh storyline, good action, but still an overall eh.

It was a MAJOR let down that he lost his memory. I understand how it fits into the X-Men thing, but seriously? "Hey guys! You just saw a movie, and remember none of it! How does that feel?"

Chicken Little, with Zach Braff, Garry Marshall, Fred Willard.

Surprisingly fun. A very cartoonish script, with some excellent slapstick moments. Recommended if it's late and you got nothin' else goin' on.

I totally agree. I hope the next X-Men movie kicks some serious butt and a lot more time is spent on good stories that pay homage to the actual X-Men stories rather than taking such creative leaps with it. Watchmen did a great job of this I believe.

Get Smart

This brought back a few memories I had of watching the old show, though I didn't recall watching it myself until the movie played through a bit. Very nice to see where they took it, and a surprise to know that I have even more reason to adore Mel Brooks and what he has given us.

Star Trek
Love <3. Although I realized how long it had been since I've actually watched an episode. I had no idea they were Romulans D:. Truth be told, I didn't even find out what the movie was about before seeing it. Star Trek needs no plot.

Adventureland
It was fun, cute. I think I was expecting more, though.

Special

It's a movie which was hard pressed to get out to the world, though it's worth the effort. A depressed man who enjoys comics joins a medical study or order to feel better about himself. However, the medicine is having some strange side effects on him, in the form of a collection of super powers...or is it? It's a heck of a mind trip, making you wonder if what you're seeing is real, always tricking you to believe something more is going on. Very wonderful stuff.

The Dark Knight.

Finally saw it last weekend. I enjoyed it, my wife did not.

Sigh.

The Dark Knight was an incredible film... not so much the story... but how it made superhero movies "darker".

It was geared towards a more adult audience and was a heck of a lot more believable than its previous superhero predecessors.
