Ive just come back from a long break from neo and i must say.....wow so many changes.

The economy is all shook up - it looks like the slightest thing can inflate or deflate half the market.

Species weapons are dirt cheap (no complaints there).

Codestones at 5k...well i remember they were like that a long time ago but last i saw until a few days ago was about 3k.

Restock code... ive already posted about this, it's great, autobuyers cant be made by people with basic programing knowledge anymore and people with great connections now need skill to go with them

Finaly where have all of the mini-malls come from??? they are around left right and centre and half of them havent got a shop on the main market page so they're making no np anywayz.

Oh yeah and do any of you remember me? you probably wont, i was formaly al_dogg02 and al_dogg03 but both of those accounts seem to have dissapeared


Ahhh... woth that said theres only one thing left to do...

Yep things have changed in Neopets quite a bit. PPT forums went down a few weeks back for 2 weeks and we were not able ot recover the forum data. Well we haven't yet, that's why you were not able to access your account.

yeah neo's changed alot when ever I get bored with it I don't stop by it for a month and when I come b ack they always have loads of stuff to do lol

Neopets has changed, a lot for the better, but also a lot for the worse. It's starting to become very commercial, and it is releasing a lot more real-world things, and starting to neglect the online content, namely Neoschools

I think they' ve been doing that for a long time

Oh boy, I've seen neopets grow and fall, then collapse even more.. it's been.. er... interesting.

It is getting very comercial but what you have to remember is that the comercial side of things keeps it free and alows them to add more to the site....but yea it is kind of annoying.

the older players are less likely pleased with the recent changes. the newer players would be puzzled and frustrated by our constant discontent.

Heh, yeah, I can still remember 3k codestones and buyable paint brushes as if it were yesterday. I can hardly image joining neopets now, with the sky-high prices as they are.

i came from a time when restocks were at fixed time and no separate haggle page, when you can buy stocks starting at 1np and they won't go bankrupt, when Taelia were giving out fantastic prizes, where jade scorchstone was in the HT for 2m...where...everything in the past was better.

Yup, I was around for all that too. :wink: And money was so easy to make, and items were cheap... Lab maps cost 120k and hypno helmets (now called H4000 helmets for some reason) cost even less than that...

my lab map cost less than 50k (i spent a long time on the wiz)

i got a DBD from taelia only a couple of months ago.

i used to think codestones cost to much at 3k lol

I miss the days before the restock ban. I know they put it in to combat autobuyers, and to take some of the load off the servers. But I used to make so much just because I had endless patience for refreshing. *sigh*

Yeah, I remember all that stuff too. I was quite rich, and I had five Hypno Helmets in my SDB.. then I quit for a year, and i put them all on the money tree before i went.. they were worthless then because the battledome was still in beta testing. I remember wondering what "hit points" were and what the point of them was, and someone telling me that they were training their pet so it would be good once the battledome came out

Also I remember being disappointed by the battledome, i thought it'd be some wicked animated Flash thing, showing the weapons flying and bloodshed.. I wasn't too impressed
