I just finished reading Teacher's Pet by Richie Tankersley Cusick for the 2nd time. That book is AWESOME. I stayed up until 1 in the morning last night reading it. Usually I find horror books boring because they're not even scary, but this one really made me want to keep reading and it kept me in suspense the whole time.

Just finished both Magic or Madness and Magic Lessons by Justine Larbalestier. Love her husband, Scott Westerfeld's, work (though I have yet to read the Uglies trilogy, as everytime I go, Uglies is checked out at my library- fair enough, I suppose, considering I've checked out about 35 books in the past week... :P ), so I read her books- and they're fantastic. I can't wait for the last book in the trilogy (and I'm still wondering why all fantasy/sci-fi books I've read lately are in trilogies).

And now I'm about to start either Twilight by Stephenie Meyer or The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak, as I've heard such good things about both. Which leaves me trying to figure out which I should read first. Oh well. :)

ETA: Actually, I just realized I have to finish The Shamer's Signet by Lene Kaaberbol. Silly me.

My Sister's Keeper

Very depressing, but it also really makes me think.

I ended up reading Twilight first and then The Book Thief- both are fantastic, though I think that The Book Thief is now my favorite book ever. This is surprising, as I've never had a favorite book. But it really is just THAT GOOD. Read it, now!

Then I read Peeps by Scott Westerfeld... Also good. Read a few other books between and after that.

Just finished reading Uglies, also by Scott Westerfeld. omgsogood. I wanted to save it until my plane trip on Thursday (I'm going to San Francisco for a week), but I couldn't help myself- I've been waiting to read it for absolute ages. I also checked out the two sequels to it, Pretties and Specials, so I'll save those (if I can), then.

And I'm about to either start I am the Messenger by Marcus Zusak or Pretties- I can't stop myself; I'm a reading machine. And besides, I have, er, 30 or so other books checked out from the library. I can take any number of those with me on the plane. :P

(yes, 30. What can I say? Up until two weeks ago, I hadn't been to the library for more than six months (busy to the extreme), so when I went, I kind of. exploded.)

Oooh, read I am the Messenger! It's such a good book! It made my cry a couple times, but I really liked it.

The last book I read was Struck by Lightening, a book about probability. It's not incredibly math-oriented, and convinced me not to go gambling.

And the last five books I got from the library were:

Fitzpatrick's War-fantasy/sci-fi, one man's account of world events (400 yrs from now) are considered false/treasonous by the world 100 yrs later

A Great and Terrible Beauty-Victorian boarding school magic stuff

Persopolis(sp?)-autobiographical comic book style, girl in Iran around the revolution in the 80s

doing it-3 teenage guys in England. Mostly inappropriate, disturbing if that's what guys are really like

The Bronze King-a kraken is taking random things from New York, magic stuff

It's a smart duck....watch it do math..........o.0

OOHOOHOOH. I finished reading My Sister's Keeper AND Twilight last month.

I hatehatehated Twilight though. I mean, I wish they'd skipped 200 pages and just ended the book instead of going through 320483 loops of "I love her, I love her, I'm scared to love her, I love her."

Right now I'm reading The Queen of Second Place. It's reminding me a lot of Mean Girls, but I still... like it? A bit. :P

I'm trying The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan on request from someone I know. Just started it but it is slower than molasses...

Death is pretty final
I'm collecting vinyl
I'm gonna DJ,
The end of the world!

'Cause if heaven does exist
with a kickin' playlist,
I don't wanna miss it at the end of the world!
