Neopets is running very slow right now for me. Is this just me server or is anyone else having this problem? o_O

Other than the battledome, which is ridiculously laggy, the rest of the site is pretty normal for me...

Heh this is the times neo needs to start buying more servers. Instead of investing in merchandise. As this lag drives away potentional new users. Which in neo`s case can drive away loads of money into their pockets.

the BD is impossible - I am on dial up, stopped even trying early this morning when pages were taking over 5 minutes to load - then getting a blank "refresh" message page :x

On the whole, the site is running slow for me, was not amused because I was trying to get a trade done. During the haggle via neomail, the mail page was taking about a minute to load. I was worried the seller would find someone else to buy!

Heh. Well a great new feature that would reduce the lag of neopets during prime is limting the number of battles you can do in the battle dome during the prime times. So neo doesnt lag as a turtle runs =p. As the lag is quite annoying if your trying to do your dailies/restocking.

What are the "prime times", so to speak? Everyone is in different time zones.

Well the prime time in my opinion would be around 5pm-9pm est. Since i live in the eastern timezone. Thats when neopets is very laggy for me. So thats my opinion it could be wrong =D

cpvr, I'm in the same time zone (EST) and generally, yes I'd say between from around 5 p.m. to around 9 p.m. is somewhat slower - except on half price day. Then it's just slow.

However, as was mentioned, we have people from all over the world in different time zones, which is fun (to me at least). I think the huge lag is the demand being placed on the battledome. May be a different server, but it's somehow slowing other things down.

My housemate was just on the site, I asked her if she thought it was slow and she said no, but she also said she just checked her pets and played a few games, then logged out. I'm kind of hogging the computer with all the battle stuff and have her on a time limit.

The battledome is UBER laggy, I'm using DSL and it takes like a whole minute (not exaggerating) to load.

Although... (I dont know if anyone remembers this though) The pages do have to travel through swamps and evil monsters to get to our computer, we can forgive it... right?
