From usedbooks on the Avatar Chat:

Quote:
I received an official warning from neopets that I was abusing my inventory. I had put many more items than the recommended 50. All of my items were taken away by them. It is a freezable offence folks, I didn't know, but I want to be sure you do! They gave me the link to the rules but I didn't see what they wanted me to see... I thought I was being clever, but apparently NOT!!!

Changed your title, connection with the Kadoatery is a bit unclear

What do you mean they "recommend" 50? I thought you could only have 50 items in your inventory? Though I did hear there was a way to get around the limit... o_O

Oh yeah and btw, mind your language. :P

You currently hold 4 items. The maximum you should hold is 50.

=/ They say should, nothing about saying you can't have more. Pah, that will just make it more impossible for me to get the avatar *grumbles*

Wait, who said this? How do you know this is true? I've had more than 50 items in my inventory plenty of times and have never received a message. I can't see them freezing people (well, I can, but that's just because their freezing system is wrong) for this since it can easily happen by accident when collecting dailies and such.

The thread is here: http://neopets.com/neoboards/topic.phtml?topic=37570141

Thats just stupid, warning people for having too much items in their inventory is wrong.

That's just plain stupid. Although, we don't know if it's an official freezable offense or just a staff member thought it wasn't allowed. That has happened before. Has this happened to anyone else? I mean, I'm sure a lot of other people were doing the same thing. It'd be suspicious if only he got the warning.

this has been around for like forever..what you do is put all those stuff in your SDB and remove all of them at once to overload your inventory. however, i certainly didn't see this great method for playing the kadoatery...no wonder players were so fast feeding those kadoaties. i think nobody was warned until the staff found out you can have an advantage in the kadoatery by overloading your inventory. until the kadoatery was introduced, there wasn't any realistic use for filling up your inventory..especially if you are a restocker. i think it is really unfair and if TNT think it is illegal, they should announce it in the news.

Yeah, but that won't happen :P

I can see their point though.. it IS kinda cheating the kadoatery :/ but they should have told us first.

Once I was clearing out my SDB and I had 73 items. I never recieved a warning.

HollyPop has a point. They should've made some rules. It's a ruleless game :P

yeah i found out a few weeks ago that if you have over 70 items or something you can't use quick stock so i had to use the "old fashioned" way to put about 30 piles of dung in my sdb

i never knew you could get in trouble for that, i once had like 114 items in my inventory, and have had over 50 items ALOT because i log in just to do dailies, and then price the stuff once every month :P plus, every time i try for the packrat avv, and get bored, i dump all the stuff in my inventory :P and often go over the limit and have to do it by hand.

i just wish they would make this clearer somwhere, not another unwritten rule thing :( and what if you aren't even playing the kadoatary thing? and just doing stuff? that would be so unfair :(

If you see my sanity, get it to give me a call.

It's just irresponsible to do such a thing and not say anything about it in the news and such. At least they gave him a warning and not just froze him, with him bieng clueless about the reason of his freezing.. Sometimes TNT can do stupid stuff... :x

Absolutely - if they'd chosen to freeze without warning, the auto reason would be something stupid like using a downloadable cheat, and he'd mail them and mail them and they'd never reply, and he'd never find out the real reason why he was frozen, and then the rest of us would never know not to use that trick.

I think it's incredibly sad that we have to find out what's prohibited just through seeing other people iced or warned for it. No doubt about it, there should be hard and fast rules written out on the site - TNT is failing us.
