Ok my friend and I were fighting over MSN Messenger about the Glowing Paint Brush, to make it simple we were fighting that if it was retired or not and if it was able to be used or not.

I Said: It's not retired and usable, also even though a paint brush is retired doesn't mean it is not usable you can certainly use it (and I used the widly known Faerie Paint Brush (which I still aww over it's 1.3 million price tag on the trading block)) I also told him that it was about 106,000 np for one which set of the ordeal.

He Said: It's 106,000 because it's retired and unusable. I remember it being retired along with the Strawberry one, it was in the news awhile back.

Well please tell me, which one of us is right

Well, if you look up "faerie paint brush" in the trades, you can see that it says "[Retired - r180]" in grey across from it. If you look up a glowing paint brush, it says "[RARITY 150]" in bright red. Therefore, I'd say it's not retired. In any case, it's very much usable; it's just not a popular color, so the PB is cheap.

Exactly what I said to him.

Well, if he won't accept that as proof, he's being kind of dumb and you shouldn't bother wasting your time arguing with him. ;)

Retired has nothing to do with the fact that you can still obtain an item and still use an item. Icy neggs are "retired," yet you can still get them as RE's on Terror Mountain and can still feed them to your pet. Same with faerie PB's. Despite their retired status, you can still get faerie PB's as random events and still use them to paint your pets. Retired basically means that you cannot buy it in a main shop.

The only unusable paint brushes are stone and glass.

Ahh well he wasn't dumb, he's been playing for 4 years. I think he was just to caught up and upseessed with his glowing Meerica, and plus if you don't really do much with paint brush and such for awhile you kinda lose your previous knowlege about it, but he is a very smart Neopian I think.
