It's from the new newsletter ^^

A couple of other big events will also be occurring some time in the next few weeks. Neopets and their owners can look forward to an entirely new paint brush, which will be camouflage-themed! Whether they need some help staying hidden, or are just seeking a cool new look altogether, your Neopets will want to stop by the Rainbow Pool and check out this new paint brush.

Would you also be interested in giving your Petpets a snazzy new look? There have been some whispers circulating about a hidden laboratory with a Petpet zapping ray. Rumour has it that this ray is capable of turning your Petpet into any possible colour, but you'll have to discover it for yourself to confirm the truth.

And a petpet colour changing lab too! All together now: "Oooooooh" :D

AWSOME! Looks like I was right when I suggested that the new lab color wasn't the promised BRUSH. *sighs with relife* Camo could certianly be interesting, not bad, not what a lot of us have wanted, but hey, still cool! :D

petpet labray? All I gotta say is: ABOUT TIME!

I'll probably get that myself, be fun to lab a cheap petpet into somthing cool. :3

Camo pets? Do they get helmets and war paint too? =O That sounds like a cool color. I hope it IS good.

Petpet lab ray sounds interesting, but I have my doupts about it.

My guess is the lab ray will just change the petpets colour about as often as a pets colour changes with the lab ray. That way pppb prices will come down a little but no one will be miffed x) They gave up on petpet morphing potions so I think species changing will be a no no.

The Camouflage pb I am very surprised by for many reasons. Firstly I can think of a lot more imaginative paint brushes that would be cool redraws. Secondly, as much as a few people would like a camo pet I'm sure....doesn't camouflage imply military? We're going to have army pets? Unless they're just going to cover our pets in twigs or make them bushes with legs of course.

But if it is military that seems somewhat wrong to me :/ I guess I'll wait and see how they implement it as I'm not sure why it sits wrong with me. But it's still a huge disappointment given how great a chance it was to introduce another awesome redraw brush.

Eeew....that's disapointing. But at least it's better than custard. Eeeewwww.

...anything is better is stupid custard. Unless TNT ever makes dung neopets...which I hope NEVER happens.

Trick, army pets doesn't sounf too bad, maybe it'll be a nice military them for neopets. =/ I dunno...I'll stay postive about it till it comes out.

Yes, you would think that if they were gonig to do a food, it would be chocolate. Not custard, which probably no one outside of Britain is familiar with. And, don't get me wrong, I like custard. But, seeing pets dripping with eggy-milky stuff doesn't really get me in the mood to eat any more--ever!!!

However, I do think camo is OK. Not my first choice, but probably will appeal to many people. You might not know it, but there are a lot of people in the military that play Neopets. And, there are a lot of hunters out there--turkey, duck, deer, etc. I know my husband will be thrilled. Every year, he goes deer hunting with his friends. His nickname is "Camo Kid."

However, in this day and age of bombings and hate groups and such, there is a fine line to be drawn. It will be interesting to see how Neo does this without making it too war-like.

Hehe true :)

Though I don't think anything hunting like would go down too well, there are plenty of anti-hunt people that play on a pet site after all =) I could be uber optimistic and think along the lines of camouflage comes from swamp world...maybe camouflage means being plants...plant pb! Hehe, maybe not x) Though that would be most excellent :D

I do find it very amusing that this annoucement comes only 4 days after I did a custom camouflage wocky adoptable for someone on NC, hee.

I can just see a jub jub that looks like a bush with eyes and feet, and a kiko that looks remarkably like a rock... XD

Before everyone goes off saying it's an army paint brush, think about this. Camouflage can mean many different things in nature. Be it a special coat on an animal to hide it in its environment, or the color changing iguana, camouflage can be many different things. Though the paint brush image suggests differently, it could only be that way since when people think camo, they automatically think of the army. ;)

Yeah, Camo only sounds slightly less pointless than custard. I'd rather have ninjas any day. Ninjas are the masters of stealth anyway. Pfft.

I doubt the petpet labray will change species, since people would so easily abuse this and sell petpets, as it is almost a guaranteed profit, and all you'd have to do is log on once a day to zap the petpet, and if it turned into something that's worth anything more than, say, 1k, you could sell it. Unless they actually expanded the petpet battledome, then i doubt there'll be any "stat-changes".

You've never been to Wisconsin? :P

Not that I'm thrilled about the color either, but over here there are quite a few custard stands.

Pretty much tastes like ice cream. At least that's what custard is like over here.

Cream puffs are another nice treat btw ;)

Butterfly, I live about 90 miles south of the Wisconsin border. That's where my hubby hunts for deer. :P

I believe that custard is a regional thing in the U.S. Particulary, frozen custard, Which has more eggs and butterfat in it than regular ice cream. We don't call it custard around here in Chicago, though. Even though we are a stone's throw from Wisconsin. There is one store about 15 miles from me that does--but it is an exception. It also sells Boston sodas, which I haven't seen in years. Here there is more emphasis on gelato.
