I just want to know why I am.

I posted ONCE in the Battledome chat.

It was asking for a weapon recommendation.

Next thing I know--suspended.

How the heck did I get suspended for THAT?

Many other people in the Battledome chat have gotten suspended in the past hour or so for the same thing--spamming.

Yeah. Apparently there's a new mod who is freezing/suspending everyone for little things (like making an on-topic board). e.e

I will be advertising my every Sunday Jazzmosis ticket auction on a account I dont use anymore, so it's no loss. XD

I heard there was a new mod on there that went kinda insane. Reminds me of what happened a few months ago, except it was freezing, instead of suspension.

The support staff have no idea what they're doing. -_- Someone needs to check up on them and get rid of the ones who are screwing everything up. I guess the deal is that everyone who is willing to (and has to) work in such a badly-paid job probably isn't all that intelligent.

That's ridiculous, you were suspended not too along ago as well. Someone needs to notice that not everyone who posts on the Neoboards is spamming, and a suspension will do nothing.

Hmm, yes I think there is a newer monitor on the boards, and I feel IMHO that that person is being overly zealous. I do know that there was some scammer on the TC not long ago, people posted on the topic and alot of people were outright frozen.

The Battledome Chat has been the target for the past, what, 2 weeks or so also. Alot of freezings and a few suspensions for saying "inappropriate" things, or spamming, etc. There have also been loads of warnings - more than seems normal or necessary.

I lurk sometimes on the BC (alot more than I post) and I've been seeing this -- and I'm not seeing what the person did to deserve the warning/suspension/freezing.

And don't think the premium board is exempt. Someone was just frozen for allegedly trying to sell their pet. Which is completely NOT what happened at all. I was there for the entire thing. Someone offered to try to help another member who'd lost their pet in the pound by pounding a pet on one of their other accounts and they would try to get the timing together so it would be successful. There have also been alot of warnings and some suspensions.

Hopefully this new monitor will either calm down, chill a little, start really reading topics/posts before hitting a button or if that doesn't happen, they will be called into the office for further training.

Being a mod is not a easy thing, there are a lot of judgement calls that have to be made within the terms of use of any site/forum. And you are working from home most of the time, so you don't always have someone else to ask about a certain situation. So getting people who have a firm grasp of how the site works, what the members are about, what goes on in the different boards and a whole of common sense is needed for the job. I don't think this person has what it takes to be a good monitor -- at least not yet.

I am so sorry you were suspended. When you think about all the OT posts on the BD, well, asking about a weapon is just beyond ridiculous.

Lesson - Don't post on neoboards at all. Seriously, after being suspended so many times why do you still bother?

BTW, for weapons recommendations you can head over to the IDB boards for it. Much better place than the neoboards to ask for weapon help IMO.
