No, but I have noticed that it is horribly slow today so maybe that is why?

I just came to find out if Neo was really slow today. I keep getting the "cannot find server" messages. I usually don't experience this slowness when everyone else does. Now I really understand the frustration of it.

Yeah, it's been really slow today...

And I noticed while I was restocking that the page stays blank until it has loaded the whole page, images too (except the stupid bottom banner).
The pages used to load so that first the text came and then the images.
Is it so in just my computer or have you noticed that, too?

It's really hard to restock, because the page stays completely blank until it has loaded every single image. :( And it's just in Neopets.

Guess I have to turn images off... ;__;

Either neo died or my computer is on strike from that site today.

Well, if this thing would have been happening to a small-time site I'd say they were getting DDOSed by overflowing all of their available connections, however here it becomes weird since neopets has way too many connnections available for it to be ddosed, or else just the regular users would bring it down unintentionally, the issue is that when loading neopets.com/whatever, if you're on broadband do the following and let me know if it's the same situation:

go to neopets.com, if the website loads fast, refresh once and see if it loads fast again, if it doesn't load refresh after about 2 seconds of it not loading (not more, no need to wait alot) and see if it loads, the thing is, when attempting connections you either get traffic from the website at all or you get neopets to load as fast as usual, which is the weird part, seems like something's wrong with the servers that isn't affecting speed, but rather one of two things:

A. The problem limits connections at a time, which would cause some of the times you do a pageview to simply not respond because it was full the exact time it recieved your header info for the http get.

OR (and possibly both, but very unlikely)

B. The problem causes lost packets for their input system, so that randomly some of your http requests go ignored simply because they are not recieved by the server at all, not because of a connection limit but simply an unstable connection problem, however, the first option is much more likely than this one to be true.

Pay attention, it's not just bilge dice it's the entire websites, due to it sometimes loading and sometimes not loading I wouldn't advise doing anything that might cost you neopoints, or even playing games (expecting neopoints) since when you send score it might fall on one of those times it doesn't reach the server, so you wouldn't be able to get your NP :P.

I stopped going on the site for today. It is too slow. I just have no clue what else I am going to do while I am at work. Specially, with the printer here not having any toner

Well they outsourced their servers, made much of the fact that everything would run faster and more efficient (yeah, right ... how many glitches? how much lost both in items and np? how many weird "duping" problems?).

I just went to my gallery account, mainly cause it's Lenny Day and I figure I may as well get something - some training.

Home page opened fast, login name page, ok - bottom ad shows up there. Then where you put your password that page took awhile and almost 2 minutes for the security code to show up.

After that? Complete frustrating lag/not loading pages. I had to close the page and go back to the homepage just to see if I was logged in - the normal page wouldn't even come up, just a blank page.

Pet central takes f o r e v e r to load, if it loads at all. It did this late last night, but I thought it would have been a bit better today.

Yes, I'm on dial up so I expect pages to load some slower, but this is ridiculous.

Off to find .... something else to do.
