I heard that if you gain too many nps in one day you can get frozen.. any truth to this? If so how many is too much? i invested all my nps in the shop wizard one day and the next day i managed to sell it all... Could putting all of that back in the bank get me frozen if it was not in the bank at 12 am npt?

I really don't think so. I guess it depends on whether it was a million nps or 500 million nps. A million is both do-able and believable. 500 million not so.

I've made a chart for safeness. Well, I'd think maybe Neo would do something like this
500k and below - you're fine...
500-1 mill - Neo Might check your sales/trade records
1-5 mill - Neo will check jackpot thingies, sales/trade records. Also many gamble games...
5 - 10 mill - I think you're in trouble unless you've won the jackpot of something...
10+ - definatly in trouble... (well, unless jackpot...)

Was that for one day water?

I am curious. Where did you get these figures and have they been tested for accuracy? I only ask because my husband, daughter and I have given each other a million nps or more on occasion--sometimes up to 5 million (via TP) without any problem whatsover and we have been playing for over 2 years.
And, when the owner of one of the biggest plushie galleries sold all of her plushies (all_my_plushies) a few months back, I bought 5 at 1 million a piece and a few more for another 2.5 million in total and I know that she was raking in millions that day from others besides me from trades and from her shop. And her account is still around.

I really just thought of those figures, but I've heard some frozen for money stories, so those figures are pretty vauge. XD
As far as testing goes though, I really, really, dont think anyone will be willing to throw away that much Neopoints...

Oh, I didn't mean to be testy or anything, I really just wondered where you had gotten those figures--like maybe you knew of something I had never heard of. I was a bit concerned when the plushie gallery owner was liquidating because she was literally dealing in millions of nps--not worried that she would get frozen, but that the pant devil or worse would take a percentage away. Or a glitch would mess up our trade/auction. I don't buy million np plushies every day, so it was a bit scary for me.
But, I agree, I wouldn't want to test this theory either.

I have traded 500K or so to a gallery account in one day, but that account had no game scores and I never did any dailies or freebies on it (until I gave it to a friend).
I think that people say they got frozen for "making money too fast" may have been unscrupulous or TNT thought they were cheating, even when they were not.
Also, there was the 'Millionares Guild' thing where a small group of people bought ALL of a cheap product and sold it for much more. More specifically, I know some individuals who got frozen because they (or them) offered an item on Trading Post for MUCH cheaper than it would normally go for, from several accounts, to drive down the price from others offering that item on the TP, and buy it ... never actually intending to sell for the lower price. I have been asked to join in.
Confused? I had the Kauvara Usuki Doll. The group put several in the TP for 200k. One then offered 250K for the item from somebody not in the group. As soon as the trade was made, the prices went back up to 800k or disappeared altogether! The persons e-mailed me (not neomailed) and asked me to put mine from my gallery up for 200K as well as an omelette, and they would make a huge offer on the omelette once they duped the person as my CUT! I could then withdraw my trade and return the item to my gallery. I refused.
Even though these practices are not listed as illegal, MODS have stated that it does not fit the concept behind Neopets and have frozen some people for doing it.

Now that you mention it. i remember not long ago, a certain petpet suddenly skydive in price.

The price just cut into almost half, and well later it suddenly shot up again.

Not that i'm complaining hahahhahaha since i benefit from the fall, got my beloved petpet.

It also depends on your accounts age. My friend got iced for making a million np in 4 days. That would be fine, except he had made that million in the total amount of time his account was active. If you had a new account, and made money quite fast, TNT would no doubt be suspicious. He got iced for supposedly using an AB.

I do hope they check records before making certain assumptions...
What do you suppose would happen if you were transferring items or np to another of your accounts because you decided to delete your old one or something. Would they check registration information and things of that sort for both accounts before making a final descision?

well, I gained 3 mil in one day because I emptied out my safety deposit box. 1,300 different kinds of items to only 300 something

From experince -- anything above 10mil a month => danger.
As daily... I doubt they would do anything. I mean, you could save your restocks and then sell them all at one day for 50+ mil.
The best thing to do if you can gain NP fast is to buy buy buy buy buy. If your planning on having a BD pet -- buy your items right away.

50 million in one day, gee, Pozy, wish we could all do that, eh? But, that figure could make Neo rather suspicious and I'd rather not have Neo looking into my account if you know what I mean. Not that I have anything to hide, mind you? Just don't want to give Neo any ideas.

I think we could all restock for 4 years and make 50 mil, right? Can't be too hard.. as long as you dont have 56k
Im just saying, i doubt they look at one-day statistics, more so on monthly basis's.
