I'm not sure, I think neo disabled the code?

I've never been cookie grabbed before, I've never even heard about cookie grabbing till the news on the PPT a while ago.. =\

I doubt they would allow that to still be up on their own site.

Yes, they are disabled.

The fact that you can't say the word 'cookie' on shops, guilds, userlookups, petpages, Neomail, and on the Neoboards makes it pretty hard to put one on Neopets =D

Cookie grabbers don't even work if you have a popup blocker...

<STOWA|Sleep> my sister questioned the title. "Half Blooded Prince? Does that mean he's a Moogle"

I'm very sure that neo did something to the cookies that makes it so that even if the cookies are grabbed, they can't get any useful info. I'm not sure how that worked, but I'm pretty sure it happened.

It's a relief they are disabled, I hate it when people get scammed that way.

If you have IE and Win XP, you should download Service Pack 2 from the microsoft site as I think that covers cookie grabbers by giving you extra security settings. It also has a really good popup blocker which works much better than my old google one. :D I think there are still some cookie grabbers on sites around the net, I always try to only go on trusted neohelp sites just in case. :)

Doesn't Service Pack 2 prevent you from using certain programs (WinAMP, Norton Antivirus, etc.) or did they fix that?

I don't have Norton but I'm able to use Winamp still. When you download the service pack it comes bundled with a firewall and virus scanner which you can set to be on or off- I use the free AVG virus scanner and Sygate firewall- both of them work still with it. I can't be sure about other programs though.

:D
