I can vouch for that - The light faerie (at the wheel) just put my pet's ability 'Demon Breath' up a level (why not drain life, right?). I've always had the same pet as my active pet with abilities for just about ever, and I've gotten the 'something strange has happened' message every time. Wierd. o_O

Open them in paint and click 'save as', then you can save them as something else.
