Here is a thought , If you use some browser like Firefox couldn't you just make an extension that tells you when Tarla is having a giveaway ? Just a thought :)

...and connect it to an alarm clock so it'd go off loudly in your ear everytime there was a giveaway. :P

I don't suppose anyone knows the average price of a starry pb prior to the giveaway? I priced mine at 275k as that seemed to be about average on the tp, yet I have the distinct feeling they're usually worth much more. deflation?

Well...you'd have to pinpoint the source from the Neopets website that is distributing the alert message, which sounds like a pain in the butt to me. The extension is already there, why not use it? :-P I think you would have to pick apart the code anyway to see how it works, and even then there might be safeguards from others creating new extensions from that code.

I am using it for Firefox right now :)
When you install, you have the option of installing it for IE, Firefox, or both if so desired.

I've had it installed on Firefox for months, and I love it.

The only annoyance I had is that I used to have the Magnifying Glass and the Nova on the toolbar, like shown on the site, and now they disappeared from it with no way of putting them back on. I also have this ugly search bar on the toolbar that I don't want.

Same here. I generally keep it turned off now that there's no way to remove the search bar. I hate the fact that it deletes all your favorites when Neopets decides to update it. I've lost some very informative petpages due to that.

That's why I use the bookmark options in the browser itself, and I back those up every week or two.

Yea I must say i dislike the search bar....

Edit: now you'll see why

I wish I could pluck out the Ask search bar. I just go to my home page, Google, and search from there. Speaking of, I plucked Shopping and E-mail out just a second ago, but now they're back! What is up with that? Is that just how it always goes?

I wish I could get rid of the Ask search bar. I use the Google one in Firefox.

I also found that whenever you do anything with the Neopet toolbar, it resets the menu items. So basically, you have to make sure you know what settings you want and do them all at once or it'll only do the new ones while resetting the old ones.

Hey, thanks! That worked for me. Now the toolbar is a bit more barren--I thought shopping meant it would take me to the main shopping area, not a page to buy actual stuff from--but it has only what I need and nothing more. Well, okay, the Ask bar could be eradicated, but there's no way to. Oh well.

I'm going to send a suggestion in to see if they make if and option to make the search bar not viewable and Nova and Magnifying Glass viewable. Maybe if there's enough suggestions they'll update it :D
