That's weird -- go look at Volcano Run and Faerie Bubbles. People with ratings of lower than 0 don't show up there (or count as competitors) at all.
I wonder if they intend it to actually be like Meerca Chase or like those two. If it's supposed to be like Meerca Chase and the -1 people still count as competitors, that's a little bit better. I still don't see how yesterday's setup was bad, though. Maybe a few people were cheating, but most of us deserved our pieces.

It's all screwed up now. Faerie Bubbles is now showing one person with a -1 rating, but Volcano Run still isn't showing any. There are only two people showing up on that page, both with a rating of 1.

In Snowmuncher it is currently saying:
High Score for the hour wins a picture piece! Minimum 0 players required.
And:
Players in the top 3 places listed below with a minimum of 3 scores submitted and a Rating greater than 0 win a picture piece
I take that to mean that you have to submit 3 scores (and win) if you want a piece, and all players count (because it is showing people with negative ratings). This doesn't really affect us snowmunchers because generally you had to submit 3 scores to win a challenge anyway. I guess the high score for the hour wins a piece regardless (which is fair in my opinion).

Volcano Run has been fixed, too. Now -1 ratings are showing up, and it says "High Score for the hour wins a picture piece! Minimum 2 players required."

By "middle of the night" I meant middle of the night/early morning for me -- that's when I play, and often there are very few competitors. That would be... 11pm until 5am NST, probably. I still consider this a busy time, right now. 
(Besides, my original point was that if five people had to have ratings of 0 or higher -- as was the case in Volcano Run earlier this evening -- there would not be enough people in the challenges. This turned out to be very much correct, so I'm glad they fixed it. I'm also glad they lowered the number of players needed for the high scorer to get his or her piece.)

the reason why u much post 3 scores is because
in splat a sloth, i got like a score of 124 and beat this person who got 53 points
so i got a score of +1, and in the end i finished 3rd having only played one game

Okie.. So i sent 3 scores but only 2 were processed cos other people did not send in their scores and i did not get my prize. I'm in the 2nd place. Is it my fault there was no one to match my score with?
Sometimes it makes you wonder how much have they think about it before implentmenting some rules that are so impractical.

Well I can still earn pieces in Meridell off UB pretty easily, but that's a popular game and quick to play. I have yet to see if I can get space station pieces, most hours I found it hard to get 5 players before, I don't know whether I can earn those peices any more.
You can still only earn one piece an hour though, because I was in second place at the end of the hour and the neomail said I was in first - presumably since the other person had won the highscore.
