Regarding all this talk about petpage applications, transferring pets (whether for avatars or not), and whatnot- since it's not clearly stated in the rules (at least I'm not aware of it), do so at your own risk. I believe this kind of note does not need to be edited into the first post, as it's logic, really.

We won't be removing posts linking to these kinds of petpages unless it's actually against the rules.

I think this pretty much rules out applications and all that.

That link realy dosen't seem to rule out applicartions. The language only says that you can't control who's going to get the pet -- which has always been true -- and that you can't charge people for it -- which applications certainly arn't. It even seems to encourage people to advertise their adoptive pets.

However that isn't to say that I wouldn't be very careful adopting out an avatar pet right now given what seems to be going on.

Can I start an Adoption Agency?

Yes you are quite welcome to take Neopets out of the pound, nurse them to health and them return them to the pound. This will increase that Neopets chance of finding a good home. You can even advertise that pet's name in your guild or on the message boards. However, you CANNOT charge people to adopt a pet you have nursed, nor can you ensure a particular Neopet will go to a certain person. As soon as a Neopet is placed in the pound it is available for ANYBODY to adopt.

I took it that it meant applications, seeing as how applications determine who the pet goes to (most of the time). However if it doesn't rule out applications, then I'm not complaining

I'm fairly certain there was a support email to someone on Neocolours that specifically outlined against it. I can't say that I disagree. It's killer for those who don't get picked for whatever reason and I don't really see the point of making someone jump through hoops to adopt a pet you don't want. It's too much like begging for my tastes. So yeah, do so at your own risk, but I'm pretty sure it's against their invisible rules.

Well, here is Malacoughta. She was a pet I adopted awhile ago as a Mutant Ixi, but then decided to lab, despite the risks. She turned faerie, and I guess many people like faerie unis, but I personally don't. I want to get another pet, and I don't like having more than 2 pets, so I am putting her up for adoption. The lab turned her male today, so She is now a He. But it would be nice if someone could changer her back.

She is also an ULTIMATE GENIUS. She has read many books and is close to getting to a booktastic award.

Only rules are that you MUST HAVE 5 STARS UNDER YOUR NAME. (ie. be a PPT God, ancient, starting smell, etc). Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements. I just can't trust anyone else. She also has a 200+day old Zomutt attached, along with a Moach. Although I would like to give her to you that way, I cannot. I will be taking the Zomutt off once I choose the adoptee. Thank you. So let the applications roll in.
