The MP is almost always 13x13 pixels. You can double-check that by counting the pixels (squares) along one edge of the MP -- there should be 13.
Got the answer, though I don't get the blue hint at all -- and stamp, yours is also very confusing. Thought you were going to stick to Neopets-only hints!

I shrink my resizes into 12 by 12, and that was not actually my hint. I made no hints, just continued on somebody elses.

Stamp's hint helped best...led me to two different places, but after a bit of help and a confirmation I got it at last. 
By the way, I think that all the hints we have already is sufficient.

Hee. It's amusing that you say the hints are sufficient, yet you needed help and a confirmation to get the answer.
I don't really get the hints this time, even after having the answer.
The only hint I get is the literature study guide one, though it doesn't exactly make me think of the page on Neopets where the MP is.
