The comic was awesome... *___* FIVE pages, beautiful drawings... I want mooooree....
And they're still using comics, not flash movies, yay!
I really hope that they'll have time to do this plot properly and not cancel anything etc... I'm still a bit disapointed with the HatIC, especially with the... *sob* guildmasters' dinner.

They shouldn't of neglected Caylis just because Isca had more talent.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one who thought "Little Mermaid time." I am also sad that we have another usul as the main character, but hopefully there will be enough side characters to make up for it. I was also thinking that the name was familiar, but it is just similar. I wonder how they are all supposed to be pronounced - I hate trying to figure it out in my head.
I really liked the art for this one, and am glad that it was 5 pages. I would have been upset it they cut it after 2 or 3. It also seems like they put more into the writing and editing this time. I am loving the sea creatures!
I wonder if the dreams are going to be predictions of the future, or some kind of "power" that Caylis and Isca have.

What about the Shoyrus? I've never seen THEM be a main charecter-and there the most popular pet! What about the Wockys? Or the Kougras? Draiks? BHA! I say, BAH!

What a great beginning! Normally I just read the flash comics to know what's going on, not because I actually enjoy them, but I really liked this one. It looks like it'll be an interesting story. I can't wait until the battling part starts. I'm already pretty sure I want to go with the "bad" lupe (my favorite species), but once again it'll depend on who has the better-looking userlookup trophies.

Well, I think that its up to the artists on what to draw sometimes. I'm sure they were given a concept (like "Pirate Hero") and then the Usul was the best one. Personally I don't mind, because as much as I hate Usuls, Hannah and Garin are pretty darned cool looking.
I have a feeling it won't be up Thursday though, simply because it's Illusen day. But no matter, it's better to put it up on the Friday and tease people for the whole weekend

Personally, the island in the first panel reminded me more of Outset from Wind Waker.

Definately Maraquans. I plan on painting my Kau Maraquan, plus I'm always for the Good Guys, despite what might be popular/more likely to win.

Yeah, I think we have some video game/cartoon fans working for neopets because I definitely saw wind waker/little mermaid (among others) influences in this one.
As much as I love pirates, I always tend to go with the good guys. Well, we'll just have to see how the plot goes and . . . .of course see which trophy looks better.
edit: also the markings on the staffs that make the pages of the cartoon go forward and backward remind me of Disney's Atlantis.
