I'll say this much... I googled for the forumla and I got a completely rational answer. All the units worked out right, and it wasn't some crazy number either. Once you find the the right formula, it's pretty simple algebra. Helps if you know scientific notation (i.e. x * 10^7, etc) though, because the number get pretty because the numbers get pretty big.

I.... don't think that's been covered in Physics B. >_<

Anyhow, I Googled the formula and found it, but I just have one question (which I think has already been asked in one form, but anyhow): do any of the units need to be converted? Since we have modulus of elasticity and moment of inertia in inches, length in feet, and even if I understood dimensional analysis, I have no idea what deflection is in.

Well, kudos to the writer for thinking this one up, anyhow. (It does seem like something of a snark at those complaining how easy previous ones have been)...now, I wonder if this counts as part of the 50 hours of physics I have to do over break. ;)
