Okay, I swallowed my pets safety (and my wallet) and decided to get the map due to cheap prices.

how do I use the petpet lab ray? I have all the 9 pieces but when I got the the treasure hunt page it never shows up can anyone answer this question?

Unfortunately you will need the original lab ray in order to use this. To quote the NT Editorial:
