This works for both, if I'm not mistaken.

Spira, I love you <3 But you already know that ;P

In response to what shapu said on the previous thread...write that letter.

I'm seriously considering what would happen if the Australian media found out about this. Sure, there'd be a huge uproar, but hopefully it'd get rid of some of the ads, including the inappropriate ones.

Hahha they'd put it on today tonight and a current affair :P neo has already been on before

Continue.

Reading in French is harder than I thought. I'm tempted to just go to Babelfish, translate the entire Neopets from French to English, then sign in from there.

But hey, to those wondering about whether they're gonna integrate ads into other languages...maybe not. Check out the Bleh! page in a different language. It mentions only a 12 pixel shift, and is only half translated.

I already have done. ;)

EDIT: Don't bother. It's automaticly changing the french to english >.<

Only Today Tonight, not A Current Affair :P

Yeah, that's why I'm thinking about it. Because of the media attention last time, Neo had to remove the 'gambling' (Luck/Chance) games for under 13.

If there's another uproar, maybe they'll have to do something about the inappropriate ads, or else they'll end up with a lot of bad publicity.

I use traditional chinese usually (Unless for special reasons), so no ads for me, or if there is, firefox blocks it :P

Have you found anything you need to add to the hosts file yet? I wanna make sure I get 'em ALL on my other accounts

I didn't bother using there's. I just modified my own.

The hosts I have blocked (that are ads off of Neopets), thus far:

a.tribalfusion.com, servedby.advertising.com1, http://www.burstnet.com, network.realmedia.com

I have just used the original hosts file and wow - all ads gone! even ppts front page ads.
I used the css coding to remove the top banner - does this remove that and would it be an idea to return the css coding to normal?

Before I d'loaded Firefox (thank you to all who recommended it), Neopets was resembling most of the sites I (usually) have the misfortune to come across during my browsing through anthro art galleries.

It struck me Neopets is almost looking like Geocities/Tripod these days with their sudden hunger for ads.

One banner is enough for crying out loud. They make a few million off their dratted merchandising, what the heck do they need another ad for?
