Hey there neopets team! Great job making all neopets colors and all those items and making several people happy that you have this site, and thanks for reading this while you guys are probably hard working on NeoSchools (if not, that's a tip)
Now what i wanted to talk about is the random event that randomly changes your pet color to blue when it is unhappy. This random event has been released before the release of the gray paint brush and i think you see where i'm going now... The random event should change your neopets gray. It's random anyway and it's very difficult to make your pet unhappy, poisonous jellies, rotten omelettes and broken toys are difficult to obtain anyway.
I hope that is not to hard to understand, again: great job making neopets a fun place, keep up the good work, anyway, you have my comments. Bye!

I feel the Lab Ray is completely random. If we collectively kept stats, we'd probably find there isn't anything consistent happening to those of us that lab regularly.
So in stating that, I feel like there was a brief period of time where I felt like my labbed pet was reset to level 1 a few times too many, then all of a sudden it stopped, and hasn't happened since.
Probably not the answer you were looking for eh?
Here's my best (approx) guesses on one pet over the course of 2 months...
Changed gender = 11%
Changed species = 2%
Changed color = 5%
Changed levels = 20%
Nothing happened = 2%
Defense, movement, etc. = 60%
Did I miss anything? I know that some actually keep track dailly, maybe one day I will purely for stats sake.

It's been done... IDB has it listed somewhere what the percentages are for lab ray effects... they did a big study on it a year or so ago...
(Why does everyone forget these type of things? :p)

Hmm be patient when zapping. And on the bright side, while you wait, your pet's stats will be upped.
I believe you have to get to lvl 10 before you're safe from that oneatomicblonde wrote:Shoyru_Lover wrote:Yep.. it's completely random. Just because its unhappy won't guaratntee the color change.
Yeah, I've also heard that it doesn't matter what their happiness level is. My friend got the RE and her pet was "joyful". Just in case though, I feed my pets smiley neggs.
Well that's pretty disturbing.
I remember the announcment about that Random Event leading us to believe that it was more of a punishment for people who didn't keep their pets happy. Not something that would be a terror to those upstanding neopians who are good to their pets.
