I believe what someone said before in that if we were missing something important to the plot, Neopets would give us a clue via the Fortune Teller. I don't think Neopets has anything for us right now. I really don't.

Okay, this may be a bit off-topic, but as we're all in some down time and talking about symbols:
Has anyone ever noticed that the same symbols on the door of the Secret Ninja Training School are around the Wheel of Monotony? I saw at least 2 that were similar.
I know it's a long-shot, but they are symbols....maybe a connection?
Also, does anyone know how to get into the secret Ninja Training School?

Nope, those symbols have to do with the ones on the red codestones

But why the matching symbols? And how does one get in?

And I agree with you. I just think people are assuming TNT was going to do exactly what they used to. Even though they said this war plot was going to be totally different. I think of it as a... harsh (really just boredom inducing) lesson in assuming things. XD

The two on the Wheel of Monotony been having the two codestone symbols on it since it came out which was way before the LD plot. Land on the Bri Codestone symbol, you get that codestone. Land on the other one, you get a red codestone.

You can also get all 10 brown codestones and then take them to the Volcano in Mystery Island to get 1 red codestone. I forget how many red codestones you need for the secret ninja school training though.

(In response to the Tombola comment)

2147483647 comes up because any more and it will result in a buffer overflow (meaning you'd need more binary digits than allotted).

2,147,483,647: I wonder if that's the max neopoints one can accumulate?

11th, In Her Majesty's Sakhmet Service: Let me start by saying I have full faith in Sakhmet's army. So far they have done nothing but good. I do not have faith in the local PD though. I can understand the army's lackluster responce to Jazan's presence. The general says it himself. He mentions that the army is mostly on the boarder. That leaves the city's defences all in the hands of local security. Amira's royal guards and the general's escort would only have the palace under their eye. When Jazan re-phased Sakhmet, most of the city's defence would have fallen to the police, not the military. The remaining military forces would have fallen back to protect Amira, then have gone out to defend the city once she was secure. That is the situation the general implies in the comics. It is tha fault of the local PD that the Qasalan mummies were allowed to scare the populace and force them into hiding. The general and army actively try to stop the Qasalan incursion, while the local PD runs and hides. But the lack of city-wide security is not out of cowardess. The PD would most likely be tending to their families after which, they would, if they are good officers, try to help as many civilians as possible. For the most part, they would have defended only a local radius from their homes. Unfortunately, I don't think most of the PD are too good or just not well enough trained. The Scarabs are evidence enough. They go around stealing from shops and wear their gang sign openly on their arms. Either Sakhmet has some pretty inept cops or the cops in question are corrupt. Another possibility could be that the cops are all good cops (prefered), but they have such a large city to police (making this most likely). The Scarabs have a large city to hide in and, most likely, have a mobile hideout. I find this arguement most likely since Sakhmet is huge; the Scarabs are crafty; and it would be too hard to defend the entire city when the military is out of town.

You need to have a pet that is level 250 or higher to get into the Secret Ninja Training School. Yup.

Tomorrow's news is already up. I wish they were as eager to release the next plot point.

Well that's playing havoc with skynetmain's theories on time, the universe and everything!

For now, I'm all out of material. I want a new comic or task! I need more material.

Well, I hate to bring this up AGAIN but... I just was surfing the main neopets page and read the blurb about Word Pyramid that is STILL up there... hasn't that game been out a while now??

Anyway, here's what it says...

Quote:
Word Pyramid
If you like puzzles and the Lost Desert, we have just the game for you! Can you use your wits to crack the code?

What code are they talking about. The game has nothing to do with codes.

Also... "if you like puzzles (well, I'd say we solved our share!) and the Lost Desert (I think that goes without saying)... use your wits (TNT reads this thread, they know we got them too)... crack the code... theres' that word that keeps rubbing me the wrong way.

I agree, we've looked at this game 100 ways and haven't come up with much, but we did find the special words that don't fit the "neopets words" which give you the bonus. While it's probably nothing, we're all in agreement that we are bored. I say, in your spare time (and we have plenty of that) play this game some more and see what you come up with.

I actually tend to agree, and even if it is just a lull in the plot, we can still use the time to rack up some points; it is a decent scoring game. ;)

PS -- I think I actually remember spelling Qasala or something odd (pardon my tiredness now; I admit I didn't keep notes but it was a --VERY UNUSUAL, not one of the many mentioned already-- plot term.) Still, not sure if any significance or just TNT keeping us wondering.

If I may be so bold as to go a little off topic, but I have come up with my cast for LDP: The Movie. I think this could eat up a little time in discussion while we wait.

Tomos - Ben Affleck (plays a good idiot)
Nabilie - Morena Baccarin (Inara from Serenity. Very good)
Amira - Lucy Liu (type-cast)
Jazan - Ken Watanabe (can look very evil)
Horace - Matt Damon (Ben's 'best friend'. Good comic relief)
Dacon - Michael Dorn (Worf!!) or Ving Rhames (good tough guy. Mostly for voice)

Feel free to change/add any character. Mods, feel free to delete if you want.
