So are they finally going to divide up the petpets at the rock pool and give us real Island petpets? I suppose they day that happens is the day they change the name of the robot pepet shop to the Virtupetpet shop to include the new alien petpets.

Personally, I'd die if they did the Royal hissies like Zoo's, kind of like when they released the faerie lenny after I sold my honey potion for a faerie pteri. I think the faerie hissi should have feathered wings and resemble quetzalcoatl, so I could die a few more times and get rid of those pesky 8 lives.

If they could make it look like this it would be awesome!

Dude, did I hear quetzalcoatl, as in the FFVIII summon? XD; That would be SO awesome, as well as like a maraquan hissie that somehow resembled Leviathan (but then that's a bit too much FF immersion into the poor snakes). @_@ I randomly thought of the chinese dragon idea, cause the Neopets style is quite cartoony, and I was staring at Mushu pictures for a while wondering if it was possible to incorporate his style into the hissie.

It's actually spelled "Hissi," which I think is a terrible name. Sigh.

I really liked your version, especially the whiskers. I'm hoping for some awesome redraws from TNT. I really hope they make the Darigan version look like Kastraliss. There could be very neat Royal, mutant, maraquan and Halloween ones, too.

Quetzalcoatl and Leviathan aren't just FF creatures.

Quetzalcoatl is the Aztec feathered serpent god and Leviathan was a huge sea monster from the Bible. In fact, nearly all of Final Fantasy aeons/eidolons/summon creatures are borrowed from real cultural legends and myths.

In order for those to be really neat I think, they still need to meet that "not cute" moniker they've put on the Hissi (so far it's been more like "reptilian, but still cute")
