I was hoping there would be a winter sidebar as well. Something with icicles and snowflakes, with Taelia and stuff. Oh well, they probably got too busy with the war and the advent calendar and stuff. Maybe it just slipped their minds.

I'm sure they were working on one at some point (Adam had said there was one on the way once the Halloween sidebar was released) .... it makes me wonder if they were sidetracked because of the new new toolbar

I thought I had seen a sidebar they were going to use for Christmas... but I must have been thinking of the Faerieland one, because all I could remember was white and fluffy. I dunno.
I wasn't really worried about it, though... I had even forgotten about the special ones.

well there have been even more changes since the haunted woods and birthday sidebars were released and it's not like staff hasn't had anything else to do.
I personally don't really care. I mean the special sidebars are nice, but they slow my dial up down even more, so .... yeah. Guess I'm just a grinch

I actually forgot before I noticed threads referring to it (never did get the halloween one perminent). It would have been nice to have one up, maybe they'll still have something for the holidays, but I'm alright without it. I agree that they probably just forgot or got sidetracked with that whole 'stuff' page. If they were so worried about the whole religion thing, chances are they would have renamed the christmas paintbrush.

i took a break from neopets and getting back into it again. i left right when the new layout came out and saying sidebars would be like new avatars. can you change your sidebar manually?

Yes. It sucks. I was really hoping for a Holiday (Not Christmas...It is a Religious Holiday...) Sidebar.
I was hoping that we'd have an increase chance of getting things frozen, such as neggs or items from the food shops there in Happy Doopy Land, Terror Mountain and Ice Caves. I was hoping increase chance of Holiday Paint Brushes (remember getting them ALL the time? Those where the days...) and Petpet Paint Brush. I was hoping for increase in Taelia Rewards this entire month, let alone her own day. Neither of those came... I was hoping we'd all log into our accounts and find that TNT has randomly given us a Rairy 60-89 Item of any sort, toy, magic, book, etc...Neither of those happen too. I wouldn't of even minded a Holiday Book (TCG) Card in todays advent calendar. Heak, I was hoping for at least Five Items in the Advent Calendar and 1,000 NP. None of that happened.
What happened to TNT when they said they'd do something, and then it actually happened?

Maybe they are redoing the Christmas Sidebar because of the change in buttons on the sidebar?

Not logical. They would have done that into the process of creating the new background for the Sidebar.

How is it not logical? If they already had the x-mas sidebar done beforehand, then afterwards decided to change the buttons on the sidebar, they would have to change the pictures and stuff around each of the buttons.

Its not because of religion because they promised a Christmas Sidebar. In the editorial a person asked about their Bday being on Xmas and Donna replied that the Bday sidebar will override the Christmas one which means that they were going to. I bet they totally forgot about it though. I sent a bug report or something to them

I was disappointed about not getting a new sidebar for Christmas... I really like the idea of special sidebars, but I have yet to actually see one... I hope there's one for New Years!

New years... all i can think of is a bunch of balloons and some drinks with 2005 around it all. Maybe neopets will skip that too. :I I hope they wont!
