Changing the number just brings you to the scroll resposatory screen

I don't want to disappoint anyone, but the "?furn" is just an extension to the link to show that they're still in the repository-bit, but not inside, but at the furniture thingy...

For example, a link to a stone within the repository looked like this:

http://www.neopets.com/desert/ldp/repos ... l=5&haul=1

so there's another extension to show that it's a clickable conjunction between a column and a row...

Well, inside the gate (http://www.neopets.com/desert/ldp/repo_gate.phtml) to the repository anyway. To me the encampment can't possible be inside the pyramid. But, I see your point.

I just noticed one of my fellow guild members comic about the fortune teller was published in the NT. It was drawn shortly after we finished our tablets and spoke the prophecy. Rather funny!
