Mystery Pic #424

Fri Jul 22, 2005 1:09 am

Congratulations! You have guessed correctly in the Mystery Pic game (Round 423). We have given you a Gelert Rock and Roll and 7605 NP!

It was the roof of the Coin Shop. :)

I was surprised the payout was so high! Nice, though. The books haven't deflated too much, either. :)

:o I guess I didn't word it right then! I put Collectable Coin Shop Roof.

I suspect the payout was high because their matching wasn't very good/was very strict.

I'd put 'Neopia's Arts and Literature Centre image', but that obviously didn't work.

Wow and i thought i entered pretty late, i actually got the prize for once, good stuff.

Whoa, I was way off (though I didn't submit an answer :P ). Oh well, there's always...friday? o_O

Aaww... I didn't have time to find it this time :( My fiance gave me a new motherboard and CPU, but the cooler didn't cool enough... So we had to find and modify another. 2½ day withouth computer
(sorry for rambling  ) Congrats to those of you who found it :)

Does submitting the URL or actual name of the image guarantee the answer will be accepted?

I know in the past people have said this works, but I've never actually tested it... was wondering if anyone here actually does that?

I agree, I think the payout was so high because they were really strict about what answers they accepted. Looks like you needed the "Deep Catacombs" bit to be accepted.

Congrats if you were in the 263 who got it right. 0:)

nah, because they said their computer program reads all off the entries......

But they have to tell the computer what to accept. They could specify one or more specific words...

http://images.neopets.com/images/shops/catacombs_3.gif

So maybe they wanted "catacombs" and just saing the image name (catacombs_3) was enough? If so, does that always apply?

I know the full URL would often go over the character limit - I just really mean the image name.

Not sure if I'm explaining this very well... 0:)

I use the image addy and if it goes over the limit I start by deleting the htttp://.

Lisa

BTW... I win everytime I use it unless of course it's a wrong answer.

neopets team is far too lazy to create a java game for cheat and other games, so i dun think they will bother

I put "coin shop roof deep catacombs," so it is possible that "catacombs" had to be in there. To be safe, I always make sure the page title (at the top, in bold black font) is in my answer. So, for example, if it was the explore page, I'd have "The Worlds of Neopia" along with the word "explore," and if it's a Neopedia article, I'd have the exact title -- "Bendy Desk Light" or whatever -- along with "Neopedia."

Most of the time, the image URL will work, too. It's often too long, so I'll just enter the image name itself... or take off the http://, like Atjj does, and have something like "images.neopets.com/shopkeepers/68.gif".
