I thought there was something with the bank where if you go over a certain amount, it loops back around to 0 and you lose all your np or something. Is there a similar deal with shop till?

That's an urban legend. Alombar would have had no money at all several times over, then ;)

There is no limit to the shop till or bank. It's wise to clean out your shop till every so often, though, and wipe your sales history too.

there MIGHT be a limit like say hypothetically if u have over 40 million in there it might, but if you got that much in your till and not ur bank, u deserve to lose it all.

A joke that probably went over a lot of people's heads. But those of us oldies did get it, shapu.

I have had almost 2 million in my shop till and didn't have a problem. However, I could only deposit 999.999 at the time into the bank. Made me a bit nervous having all of those nps sititing out there--while I was trying to get them in the bank. I swore I saw the tax beast winking at me!!!!

I never use the bank since the glitch when I lost a digit... byebye a million. I'd rather risk the tax beast, at least I'd get a trophy.

I'm too lazy to clear my shop till and I have a bit over 5m in there. I'm pretty sure there isn't a limit. :)

Robert, you are an oldie as well. I meant oldie as in long-time PPTer, not oldie is in grey-haired old fogey. *picks up cane and pats seeing eye dog on head while toddling toward nursing home door*

You left off the "42"
Alombar42
;)

I've had over 3 mill in my shop too, and had to put it in the bank in pieces.

I did hear once that there is a limit to the amount of NP you can have at hand at any one time, and that the TYS game has gone over that limit, so that if you were to win it, you'd be auto-frozen. Sounds fishy to me, but who knows. The TYS jackpot is silly.

I didn't think it was necessary. Were there other famous Alombars?

Actually there must be a limit (programming has always limits), but it will take a long time for anyone to find that out.
Hmmm... could it be that I was frozen for nearing the limit? Sounds rather strange, but INTeger type in mysql goes up to 2 billion (since they use it as signed). Of course, since they moved to Oracle they may have change types, but that's rather unusual...

;)
