Only the green-men kind of aliens scare me. The monster or ameoba things don't...

But the green people-I'm horrible with that. One time there was an alien on the Simpsons, and I got scared, even though it just turned out to be Mr.Burns.

I believe there is life on other plants..but just like us. Not green things with big eyes.

It depends what you mean aliens.

There is life on other planets, its been proven, somehow. There's bound to be another organism on another planet - not however neccessarily a celled organism. Cells were developed and evolved on earth - it's not a coincidence that we grew up on a planet that was perfect for us - we evolved for us to be suited for this planet. So, cells are earth-based. Of course, there are bound to be some other simple being out there.

However, there won't be another celled organism, for the reason above - Cells were developed in our solar system, what are the chances of two exact same cells developing over 250 light years apart ;)

I certainly hope there is intelligent life on other places. Imagine how cool it would be!

The thing is with aliens is it so rediculously iffy...I do believe there is some kind of life between either just a cell or sentient beings other then humans. Probably out there somewhere, because there are billion of galaxies, multiplied by trillions maybe in planets and other things of that order...I like to believe in aliens atleast because I imagine that would be the most fascinating thing ever if we could contact one.

I believe in aliens I think it's arrogant to believe that we are the only intelligent lifeforms to exist in the universe.

I don't believe in all the stupid abduction stories though why would an alien travel all this way look at a person for a bit then go away again?

I believe in extra terrestrials. They is so much we don't know about space, so much we can see, hundereds and hundreds of galaxies (some of which have centeral stars like our Sun). I think we'd have to be pretty silly to believe that there could not possibly be any living organisms (plant or animal), I suppose probability wise we can't really work it out because the universe is supposed to be infinite...

Yes, Europa. The surface is frozen solid, but on the inside it's supposed to be a warm ocean (warm because of Jupiter's gravitational force on the moon as well as some volcanic activity). On Earth, life began in the oceans and flourished there for millions of years. So there's no reason why there wouldn't be life in Europa.

Sadly I must confess to being both an avid X-Files watcher [back in the day] and a listener to Coast to Coast AM almost every night. [It's a radio show that deals with a lot of extra terrestrial topics and the rest of that nifty unexplained stuff for those who don't know].

I do believe in aliens; but I both highly doubt that they visit our planet regularly or that we'd really notice them/be able to capture their images on our video cameras as much as reported. [Think about it: if they went to the trouble of coming here in the first place they're probably not careless enough to let hundreds of people photograph them all the time and what not.]

I believe there are aliens, but they consider us to be the "backwoods" of the universe, and they just pop in to mess with us. Why else would they only abduct people like Doris Pinkleton from Little Rock, Arkansas and leave no evidence but her stolen shoelaces?

Wed Jul 28, 2004 1:41 am

I think aliens do exist, they've probably been around longer than us, but if they have any ounce of intelligence they won't visit here.

Wed Jul 28, 2004 4:36 am

I'm sure aliens do exist, because the universe is so vast there is probably at least one other place with life.

I'm not quite sure about UFO type aliens even though I've seen a UFO myself.

Wed Jul 28, 2004 5:37 am

I used to be an alien myself...

Life on it other planets? I don't see why not.

Wed Jul 28, 2004 5:39 am

If alien is defined as life on other planets, or intelligent life on other planets, then in all probability there are aliens. We're only a part of a solar system that we still don't know, and that's part of a galaxy, and there's so many, many galaxies that the chances of there being no other life whatsoever is rather slim.

I do believe in extra terrestrials. I mean there can't be only 7 billion people in the universe.

What if on another planet, there are people exactly like us...but they are about 25 years ahead of our time. We can find out who lives, dies, and what happens to us. Clones of ourselves. :P
