Hair Tips

No one enjoys a bad hair day, and no one enjoys spending the whole day worrying about it either. But there are ways to avoid the mess of rush brushing, overuse of hair products and strange hairstyles to hide your hair’s bad manners. Luckily for you, I’ve decided to let you all in on the secret.
Coloured/Highlighted Hair:
If you have coloured or highlighted hair you may notice that your hair has become dry. Using a shampoo made specifically for coloured hair can stop this from happening, and make your hair soft and shiny. These shampoos also work to enhance the colours in your hair and make them last longer. Alongside with the shampoo, using a conditioner from the same brand and for the same type of hair will make your hair softer and easier to manage. If you’re a regular user of colours for your hair, I recommend that you use a conditioner to keep your hair healthy. Before you dye you hair, make sure you don’t wash your hair for at least two days. Yes, this sounds icky, but the grease in your hair will hold onto the colour. This is so the colour doesn’t run out when you first wash it, and so that you can keep the colour for longer. It works wonderfully, and you’ll be happy you did it. If you want to dye your hair, and it’s your first time, always try out the dye on a bit of your hair first. This is to test that you don’t have an allergic reaction to the hair dye. I always try behind the ear.
Dry/Damaged Hair:
Conditioners and hair creams work wonders for broken hair and dry locks. Using a shampoo and conditioner specifically made for your type of hair can start to make hair soft and shiny once again. Hair becomes dry and damaged due to blow-drying, using straighteners or curlers daily, and bad weather. Using a hair cream for your hair softens the tips of your hair, which can split and need to be cut every 6 weeks.
Greasy Hair:
Playing with your hair constantly or washing it TOO often makes your hair very greasy. To avoid this, wash your hair every 2 days, and try hard not to play with your hair. The grease from your fingers transfer to your hair. Also, wash your hair brush every 3 weeks, or change it, so that it is clean for your hair. Avoiding oily foods and eating vegetables will help your hair as well. Using lemon water in your shampoo can also help.
So whatever hair type you have, follow those easy steps that will lead you to soft, healthy hair. Stay tuned for more beauty tips.
