War Prizes? ...yay...

Everyone was awaiting the big day. Many Neopians had worked quite hard during the war and expected a monster pay out for their effort, perhaps that was their first mistake. Fighting for glory, and thus $NP$. Regardless, many Neopians felt more than a bit hurt when they found that all they had received for their time and effort...was a rather ugly toy.

Although, for some, the prize they received was just. This however did not manage to incorporate all of Neopia. People who had under 3500 points was bestowed the same meager prize (regardless of which side they choice) and even more so, regardless of point accumulation. It's not even the fact that it's a toy that irks me, it's just that instead of giving different prizes out to everyone, we all received the exact same thing, making our awards the exact same value.

I know I shouldn't be complaining, a good friend of mine once said that it is just a game and that anger shouldn't fall so heavy on it. I simply feel that the effort put forth does not equal the output received. Next war, I have a feeling the amount of effort I feel like putting forth is going to be considerably less.

Essentially, there are few reasons people even bother with the wars. The first one that I saw begins even before the actual fighting starts. When people see a war is beginning, inflation insures. Profiting from inflation has became the premier way to make war work for you. Many of the people who make NP's from the war don't even battle, ironically enough, it is their pocket books which see an expansion.

Ultimately, I suppose you have to remember that when you do go to war, that the goal is not to make NP's, but to help out that wonderful block of pixels which is in need (and hopefully get a nice trophy while you're at it as well!) Until next time, folks!
