Home on Halloween

Written by: Lillie

For some reason or another, you aren't doing anything to celebrate Hallowe'en although you'd like to. Trick-or-treating is out of the question and you can't throw together a party within five minutes. Isn't there anything you can do that will make Hallowe'en a little more interesting for you? To answer your question, I've tried to put together a couple of ideas that you might like to try out if you're desperate to be entertained.

WARNING: Do these at your own risk.

Recipe for Indoor S'mores

Ingredients
Graham crackers
Chocolate
Marshmallows

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Arrange graham crackers on a greased cookie sheet.
  3. Place a piece of chocolate, smaller in size than the cracker, on top of the cracker.
  4. Add two or three marshmallows on top of the chocolate.
  5. Place in the oven and watch carefully. They should be done in a few minutes, when the marshmallows are soft and warm.

NB: Have an adult supervise you.

Finger Play

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate,
The first one said, "My it's getting late!"
The second one said, "There are witches in the air!"
The third one said, "Good folk, beware!"
The fourth one said, "We'll run and run!"
The fifth one said, "Let's have some fun!"
"WOOOOOOH!" went the wind, and OUT went the light,
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

You can use your fingers to pretend they are the pumpkins.

Neopets Activities

Visit the Haunted Woods! There are quests from Edna, the Esophagor and the Haunted House to visit and games to play. Why not try your hand at one of the games, or visit a spooky shop?

Other Activities

Watch a scary movie: Chances are, something spooky will be broadcasted on your local television network.
Read a scary book: If you don't own any ghost stories, you can try Googling some stories up. Pop down to the local library if you can and borrow something like Dracula, Frankenstein or Phantom of the Opera. There are also several short stories about ghosts, the supernatural, witches and so on.
Annoy a family member until they come up with a ghost story to tell you: Entertaining in itself, no?
