How about adding in article categories or an "About Area" or something etc. We can always look at the best wikis out there such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page to see how they work their front pages... or maybe even go to gaming wikis to see how other people are doing it for inspiration. --[[User:Yukio|Kym]] 04:44, 4 May 2009 (UTC) | |||

What's this?[edit]
I gave a heads up a a while ago that I'd be redesigning the main page. Hopefully it'll give us a fresher, hip-er look.
This is going to coincide with a number of changes I'll be kicking into action about the neodex. The workings of editing and so forth will be largely the same, but I'll be addressing some of the meta-neodex stuff to hopefully make it clearer how admins work, who admins are, etc. That should make us more accessible to new members. We're going to do a bit to increase integration with the rest of PinkPT, too.
The front page revamp may or may not (most likely may not) come with a general site theme change. If it does, we'll do it on a trial period first and you'll be able to use the normal, wikipedia-like stylesheet instead at any time.
Please feel free to comment on the design that's being knocked around here - it's by no means complete yet, it's just a rough idea for the time being. It's going to accommodate a few more things than the main page currently, though... News, probably a 'did you know' section, etc. If you want to get your hands dirty, I'm quite happy for you to take a copy of the code and start working with it on a subspace of your own userspace - or start from scratch, if you prefer! - and that'll help keep the ideas ball bouncing.
