Monocerous NeoDeck image.
The Monocerous is a vicious, bull-like monster, shrouded in flames erupting from its hooves, mouth, back and ears, who can paralyse victims with a roar. Its favourite food is JubJubs, which, fortunately for them, are the only Neopets immune to the monster's bellow.
While the Monocerous has been featured since the very early days of the Neopets site, it has always remained something of a side-character, not taking part in any major site events. The creature was featured for a time in the Gallery of Evil - where the JubJub's immunity to it was originally shared - before being removed at a later date, but as its NeoDeck card and Stamp still exist, it is assumed he is still present, roaming Neopia.
Trivia
- The name may be based on monoceros, a faint horse constellation in the winter's sky, or on the scientific name for the Narwhal, Monodon monoceros.
