In-Depth Battlepedia
The In-Depth Battlepedia, or IDB, was one the largest and earliest collections of information regarding Battledome weapons. It was designed as an expansion of the Battlepedia and provided a searchable database of almost 2,500 weapons, maintained by a large team of volunteers.
In addition to indexing nearly double the number of weapons that the Battlepedia does, the iDB provided much more detailed information about weapon effects - including the quantity of items, extensive testing as the likeliness of healing, freezing, and so forth, and mathematical dissection of the exact number of icons, by damage, that a weapon strikes with. iDB weapon raters also reviewed many of the weapons.
The In-Depth Battlepedia provided a forum for the discussion of Neopets and the Battledome, and hosted a large quantity of information related to the Battledome in addition to just weaponry - such as Negg effects, methods of training, Faerie abilities, and a damage calculator. On the 25th September 2008, the iDB introduced a weapon simulator ("BD SIM"), which simulated the outcome of battles between Neopets with certain attributes and weapons.
On the 26th July 2011, the host website for the iDB went bankrupt, and the site went offline. However, on the 29th of October 2011, Jellyneo announced they would be bringing the iDB back, working closely with the original iDB staff. It officially opened in 2012.
Forums

The IDB Forums were created on February 7th, 2004. As a Battledome-orientated fansite, the IDB forums contains various forums relating exclusively to the Battledome, including:
- Battledome Central - A forum of discussion of general Battledome-related topics.
- Challenge Central - A forum where forum members can find opponents to challenge in the Battledome.
- Weapons Advice & Comparisons - A forum for discussion and rating of various weapon sets.
- War Room - A forum where information relating to Neopets wars can be discussed, and where information relating to IDB's own wars, such as sign-up forms, are located.
- Battler's Trading Forum - A forum for the trading of Battledome Equipment and other related items in the Trading Post.
IDB also hosts an active area where users can submit articles for other users to read on topics ranging from Battledome tips to training guides. Although IDB focuses on the Battledome, there are additional forums for other topics.
The section on Neopets contains forums for posts relating to Neopets but not necessarily the Battledome, while the Miscellaneous section covers a vast variety of topics including IDB's version of Werewolf, which is the longest running Werewolf series on any Neopets fan site (game #46 as of May 7, 2007).
IRC Channel
An IRC channel was linked via a Java applet on May 30th, 2006. The channel no longer exists as of 2010.

Death
Due to financial issues, the iDB officially closed it's doors on the 26th of July 2011. This news was met with much sadness in the Battledome community. However, on the 29th of that October, Jellyneo announced that it would re-open the iDB on their site in co-operation with the original iDB staff.
Legacy

Though the original iDB remains long in the past, the idea has managed to live on due to the dedication of several fansites.
The re-opening of the In-Depth Battlepedia took place in mid 2012, after months of hard work by Jellyneo and the original iDB staff.
The iDB also inspired The Daily Neopets to construct their own Battlepedia, which opened it's doors in 2007.
