Faerie Quest

This article is about the faerie quests that are given out via random event. For on-demand quests that are given out by specific faeries, see Illusen's Glade, Jhudora's Bluff, and Snow Faerie's Quest.

Faerie Quests are quests that are randomly given out by certain faeries using random events. During these quests, the requesting faerie will ask the user to find them a specific item without using the Shop Wizard or the Super Shop Wizard. If the user brings the faerie the requested item, the faerie will reward them for their hard work. Unlike other quests, there are no time limits for faerie quests.

Faerie quests first became available on April 12, 2000. There are currently thirteen types of faeries that give out quests. Each type of faerie requests a different kind of item and gives out a different reward. To complete a faerie quest, the user must place the requested item in their inventory and then press the "Give her the item" button on the faerie quest page. If a user does not want to complete an assigned quest, they may cancel the quest at any time by pressing the "Abandon this quest" button on the faerie quest page.

Quest Types

The most common faerie quests are those given out by the following six elemental faeries:

Air Faerie	An Air Faerie swoops down and exclaims, “Hurray, someone who can help! Please find me <ITEM NAME>!”	Grooming items that have a rarity of 69 or less	Active Neopet receives +3 movement points
Dark Faerie	With a bang, a Dark Faerie appears. "Get me <ITEM NAME>. Don't ask questions and maybe I won't turn you into a Blechy."	Toys that have a rarity of 69 or less	Active Neopet receives +3 HP
Earth Faerie	A freckled Earth Faerie smiles at you. "Hi there! Would you do a quest for me? I need <ITEM NAME>, please."	Items from Kauvara's Magic Shop that have a rarity of 69 or less	Active Neopet receives +3 strength points OR +3 defence points OR +3 movement points
Fire Faerie	A young Fire Faerie steps forward. "<ITEM NAME>" she blurts. "Oh, I mean, please find me one. Thanks!"	Clothing items that have a rarity of 69 or less	Active Neopet receives +3 strength points
Light Faerie	Brilliant light blinds you. As it fades, a Light Faerie says, "Thank goodness you're here! Please find me <ITEM NAME>, kind Neopian."	Neodex cards that have a rarity of 69 or less	Active Neopet receives +2 levels
Water Faerie	A Water Faerie sniffs and says, “You probably won’t help, but I need <ITEM NAME> for my studies. I can’t tell you why.”	Books that have a rarity of 69 or less	Active Neopet receives +3 defence points

There are six other faeries that give out quests; however, they appear more rarely then the six elemental faeries:

Faerie Queen	The Faerie Queen appears in a puff of lavender smoke. “Bring me <ITEM NAME> and you will be rewarded.”	Items that have a rarity between 80 and 95	Active Neopet receives +2 levels and +5 strength points and +5 HP
Fountain Faerie	The Fountain Faerie glides up to you. "Hullo. I don't suppose you'd find me <ITEM NAME>? It's ever so important."	Items that have a rarity between 94 and 96	A single use of the Rainbow Fountain
Grey Faerie	"Oh, hullo." The grey faerie almost manages a smile for you. "Don't suppose you can find me a <ITEM NAME>?"	Petpets that have a rarity of 69 or less	Randomly chooses one of the following faeries and then copies that faerie's reward: Air, Dark, Earth, Fire, Light, Water, Fountain.
Soup Faerie	It's the Soup Faerie. "I need your help, please! I'm nearly out of ingredients for making soup. Would you gather a <ITEM NAME> for me?"	Items that have a rarity between 80 and 95	Active Neopet receives +2 Stat points From 2 Elemental Faeries But not HP and Level
Space Faerie	The Space Faerie appears, glittering with starlight. "I am getting a little tired of his tricks. Would you find me <ITEM NAME>?"	Items that have a rarity between 81 and 94	Active Neopet receives +4 levels

Crafting Faerie Quests

The last faerie that gives out quests is Delina, the Crafting Faerie. Delina's quests work differently than those of the other faeries. When Delina gives out a quest, she will ask the user to bring her two specific crafting materials. These crafting materials are exclusively sold in the NC Mall, and they cost 75 NC each. If the user brings Delina the two requested items, she will fashion them into an exclusive wearable NC item.

Trivia

• When they were first introduced, faerie quest used the same on-demand system as other quests. On October 2, 2000, this system changed over to the random event system that is still in place today.
• According to the Shop Wizard, he can not help users with faerie quests because he is bound by "ancient laws of magic".
