Site themes allows the user to modify the Neopets page to one of the themes unlocked by the users. Basic themes which are available to all users by default includes Neopets Basic, Neopets Yellow, Neopets Red, Neopets Blue and Neopets Green. But players can unlock and use others if they complete the proper actions.
Some site themes are only for people who participated in certain plots, such as the Altador plot, for which one of the prizes is the Altadorian Constellations site theme.
Other site themes are more like avatars, and are given out if you do a specific thing, sometimes only on a specific date. The Halloween site theme is one of these, being unlocked by being on the site at 11:59:00pm-11:59:59pm on Halloween (31st October).
The Birthday site theme is currently the only one you can't unlock. You have this site theme on your birthday (the day you set it when signing up) and on Neopets' Birthday (15th November).

Trivia
- Due to a site redesign on April 27, 2007, the look of all the previous site themes were changed, making many older site themes collection guides out of date.
