I suppose it just gives you more ~~specificality~~ - you can quickly see which are the characters that Defenders gives you to fight in the battledome, and like the Categories on wikipedia, it works by being a subcategory of two 'parent' categories like ''Category:Earthquakes'' and ''Category:Categories by continent'' leading to ''Category:Earthquakes by continent'' which in turn when combined with ''Category:Africa'' creates ''Category:Earthquakes in Africa'' - for ease of navigation.
