However, the idea that Meridell exists only [[Neopia|Neopia's]] past has since been dropped from [[Neopets]] [[Wikipedia:Canon (fiction)|canon]], and in recent plots, such as the [[Altador Cup]], it is implied that Meridell exists at the same time as the other lands of Neopia.
