'''Plots''' are stories or events which take place every few months within the world of [[Neopets]] in which users can paritipate 
to recieve prizes. The majority of current plots are presented in a comic book format. The user can participate in the happenings of the plot as it's presented, or in the climax. Participation is different for each type of plot, being either  a series of puzzles or fighting a war in the [[Battledome]].

For plots which involved wars, players are sometimes given the option to choose a side to support, and are given a series of enemies to fight in the Battledome in order to gain points for their side. The [[Lost Desert Plot]], which began in September 2005, did not have a war, but a series of complex puzzles.

Plots usually contain reoccuring characters such as [[Dr. Frank Sloth]], who is prominently featured in several plots.
