A thought has occured to me. Should we mention that Dr Sloth is The Happiness Faerie, or do we maintain the in-joke to the contary? '''Dr. Frank Sloth''' is an evil scientist bent on the destruction or conquest of [[Neopets]] and [[Neopia]]. After the [[Space Faerie]] destroyed his mutation ray in the [[Arrival of Virtupets]] [[plot]], and left his prized space station, [[Virtupets Space Station|Virtupets]] drifting in orbit, Sloth went into hiding, distributing [[Transmogrification Potions]], only occasionally getting involved with the rest of Neopia - most notably during the [[Brucey B and the Lucky Coin]] plot. Despite hiding in whereabouts unknown, the Neopians were still able to contact him - and [http://www.neopets.com/space/neopetv2.phtml?part=5 receive a reply] - during the [[Neopet Version 2]] plot.

The mastermind's return, originally anticipated for 2004, but delayed until 2008, was featured in the [[Return of Dr. Sloth]] plot. The temporary shelving of this plot was referenced in the title of one of the games he is featured in, [[The Return of the Return of Dr. Sloth]]. He is also featured or referenced in [[Neverending Boss Battle]], [[ToyBox Escape]], [[Carnival of Terror]], [[Korbats Lab]], and [[Splat-A-Sloth]].

Dr. Sloth sometimes masquerades around Neopia as '''The Happiness Faerie'''. Like the existence of [[Jelly World]], this is an inside joke in that despite The Happiness Faerie being poorly resembling Dr. Sloth with cardboard wings, he has still duped the Neopian population with his disguise.

His greatest achievements were the enslavement of the [[Grundo]]s, an alien race, and his creation of the Transmogrification Potions, which change a Neopet into a mutant version. He has also created many futuristic machines, vehicles, weapons, and robots.

===Arrival of Virtupets===

In August 2000, Dr. Sloth came to Neopia with a giant, orbital [[Virtupets Space Station|space station]] and mutation ray, with plans of taking over Neopia and repopulating it with his Virtupets. In an encoded message, however, it was revealed that he actually intended to mutate all the Neopets on the planet. He was stopped by the [[Space Faerie]], who reversed Dr Sloth's mutation ray and caused it to explode, leaving the abandoned station in orbit. The plot introduced the [[Grundo]]s, and stopped [[Moehog]]s being limited edition.

It was revealed in ''The Return of Dr. Sloth'' plot that during his fight with the Space Faerie, Dr. Sloth managed to acquire the Space Faerie's Token for later study.

===Brucey B and the Lucky Coin===

Having watched [[Brucey B]] play in the 3rd Annual [[Cheat!]] Championships, Dr. Sloth recognised the coin Brucey was using to win every game. Setting up a high-profile Cheat! game, a [[Jetsam]] working for Sloth won all of Brucey's money, and betted it against Brucey' Lucky Coin. He played one four, and as Brucey had already played four fours, he declared the Jetsam cheating. Somehow, Jetsam had cheated at Cheat!, and did, in fact, have the last four.

Dr. Sloth then used the coin to gain entrance to one of the pyramids in the newly rediscovered [[Lost Desert]], and raided the tomb. Loading the plunder on-board his space ships, he used the artifact he had found there, the [[Staff of Alhasutek]], to wage a war on [[Sakhmet]] with his Grundo army. Although the attack started well, Dr. Sloth soon had to use the staff to summon the [[Rock Beast]] to hold off the defenders, and when it was defeated, did not have time to reanimate it before Brucey B destroyed the staff.

The weapon's destruction reversed its curses, and Dr. Sloth made his escape in a space rocket built into one of the towers of the city.

===Neopet Version 2===

After Dr. Sloth escaped the [[Lost Desert]], an old experiment he had left on the Space Station - [[Neopet Version 2]] - awoke and took hostage several Neopets on vacation, in a lift. When the Neopian population wrote to Sloth, his reply briefly discussed how the NPv2 program could be deactivated, by acquiring the deactivation codes known to the program's original designers and the program itself. He didn't think the Neopians would actually be able to do it.

A mock ending was made for [[Hannah and the Ice Caves (Plot)|Hannah and the Ice Caves]], where Dr. Sloth appeared and changed [[Hannah]] into a [[Mutant]], claiming revenge against her for cancelling his own plot - ''The Return of Doctor Sloth'', that would be revived four years later - in favour of hers. A few users were able to catch it before it was reverted to the true ending.

In 2008, Dr. Sloth distracted the [[Space Faerie]] with rumours of a disturbance in a distant part of space, and in her absence, began his return. [[Commander Garoo]] and his troop of [[Blumaroo]]s took over the Space Station, and took the civilians prisoner. They were to be sent away for mutation and recruitment into Dr. Sloth's army, but their prison transports were hijacked at the last minute by [[the Resistance]] - a group that had been founded following the [[Arrival of Virtupets]] plot to defend Neopia in the event of Dr. Sloth's return - and sent to safety.

Dr. Sloth and his scientists had been experimenting with the [[wikipedia:mutagenic|mutagenic]] properties of [[Kreludite]], planning to use it as a weapon. He manipulated the civil war between the [[Orange]] and [[Purple]] Grundos on Kreludor in order to secure his supply of the mineral, but after the Resistance united them by exposing [[Parlax]] as Dr. Sloth's agent, Dr. Sloth moved his battle fleet out to destroy the Orange and Purple factions.

Although the Grundos adapted their mining lasers as artillery against the battleships, they were severely outmatched by the armada, and would have been sorely defeated if not for the actions of [[Gorix]] and [[Cylara]]. They managed to sneak on board Dr. Sloth's own ship and get to the [[Space Faerie]]'s token, which Dr. Sloth had acquired in his first conflict with the [[faerie]]. [[Commander Gormos]], who had become dissatisfied with Dr. Sloth reducing him to an errand boy instead of sending him to the front lines, let the two Resistance members past to Dr. Sloth's atrium, where, using an incantation the Space Faerie had told her, Cylara was able to trap the doctor in the token. His ship's self-destruct sequence activated automatically, and after the explosion the token imprisoning the evil mastermind drifted silently through space.

They ran to the Defenders of Neopia Headquarters to get help and soon after the Ghost Lupe was caught in a ghost trap.

As they enter, a [[Cave Chia]] spots them after they almost fall over an edge. Feeling they are being watched, the Aisha wants to leave, but the Kacheek insists on continuing. They are both caught by the Cave Chia and hung in a cage high above the ground. Televised news reports they have gone missing and Judge Hog calls forth the Defenders of Neopia, finding and capturing the Cave Chia, saving the Neopets.

The DoN received a call for help from Neopia Central when [[Mr. Chuckles]] began to attack. Judge Hog mocked him as a wanna-be villain, and Mr. Chuckles retaliated with a flurry cream pies, which hit [[Neopian]]s and turn them into clowns under his control. They hold Judge Hog down as Mr. Chuckles knocks him unconscious. Judge hog wakes up hours later hanging upside-down, about to be fed to monstrous Noils in Chuckles hideout.

To find Mr. Chuckles, users had to first ask [[Sidney]], then [[Arnold]] and lastly [[Leeroy]] in order to find Mr. Chunkles' lair.

However, he can now be found by simply refreshing at the [[Coconut Shy]].

====Somewhere in the Lost Desert...====
The story opens up with a [[Mynci]] archeologist in an ancient tomb, about to complete his lifelong dream of finding a mysterious mummy. He opens the golden sarcophagus the mummy is in, revealing the main villain, [[Eyrieki]]. As the Mynci opens the lid, though, he notices an inscription which he reads. This causes Eyrieki to suddenly come to life, who promptly bursts out of the pyramid by smashing through a stone wall. Once he gets out, Eyrieki begins to cause havoc to market stands in [[Sakhmet]].

Back at the Defender's HQ, [[Judge Hog]] calls in [[Lightning Lenny]] and gives him the mission of taking down the undead Eyrie terrorizing Sakhmet. Lightning Lenny zooms off to the desert city after Judge Hog is finished talking to him, and confronts Eyrieki. The two fight for a short while before Lightning Lenny runs back to the tomb where Eyrieki was released to find an answer to defeat him for good. Eyrieki, however, catches up to him and blows sleeping dust on the Lenny Defender, just as he figures out the answer.

====Near Hubert's Hot Dog Stand...====
The comic opens up as a normal day in [[Neopia Central]]. Two kids notice [[Kasuki Lu]] standing near [[Hubert]]'s hot dog stand. They eagerly approach the Chia, but, as they begin to talk, Kasuki Lu stomps past them and pushes his way to the hot dog cart, which he lifts up and shakes out the hot dogs. He breaks the stand and then heads toward the [[Battle Magic]] shop.

Meanwhile, [[Mammoth]] is helping some store owners move their stores. He gets a call from [[Judge Hog]], who informs him of Kasuki Lu's rampage. Mammoth expresses his disbelief, but agrees to go after the crazed Chia, despite the fact that he had been a childhood hero of his. Mammoth soon arrives at the place where Kasuki Lu is causing havoc and tries to talk some sense to him, which ultimately fails. They briefly wrestle against each other, and Mammoth prepares to punch Kasuki Lu. However, he hesitates, and Kasuki Lu takes advantage of it to toss Mammoth.

It allows the user to add the Neodex to their search bar within Firefox 2 and IE 7, thus allowing them to search for an article on Neodex directly from the browser itself. If required, we can also add search suggestions to the search (eg. typing "neo" returns "neopets", "neopoints" and "neodex"), but for that we'll require at least a database.

The '''Lost Desert''' is an [[wikipedia:Arid|arid]] region in [[Neopia]]'s [[wikipedia:Southern Hemisphere|southern hemisphere]]. It was discovered by the rest of Neopia as part of the [[Brucey B and the Lucky Coin]] [[plot]], when [[Brucey B]] managed to travel south through the [[Haunted Woods]]. The Desert is shared by two kingdoms, the second of which was introduced following the [[Lost Desert Plot]].

For the most part, the Lost Desert has an [[Wikipedia:Ancient Egpyt|Ancient Egyptian]] theme, but also shows [[wikipedia:Arabian Peninsula|Arabic]] and [[wikipedia:Persian Empire|ancient Persian]] stylistic elements.

==The Kingdoms in the Lost Desert==
There are two cities in the current Lost Desert. There is the city of Sakhmet, capital of the most prosperous area of the Desert, and the newly rediscovered city of Qasala, which is in ruins but currently being repopulated. Shortly after its discovery, [[Dr. Frank Sloth]] invaded the Lost Desert and attacked Sakhmet, succeeding in taking the [[Sakhmetian]] palace before his forces were beaten back and the magic [[Staff of Alhasutek]] was destroyed.

===Sakhmet===
A city of spires and domes, Sakhmet is constructed predominantly of sandstone. It was occupied by Dr Sloth when he invaded, and he managed to build a space-worthy escape pod into one of the towers. The [[Royal]] Palace of Sakhmet is one of the most stunning structures in the [[Neopian]] World.

The Sakhmetian Royal Family went through a time of turbulence after the Lost Desert was discovered. Following the poisoning of [[King Coltzan III]] in a move to usurp the throne, and the Royal Family held an investigation in which it drafted in the users to analyse the case, with the promised reward of items from the Royal Treasury (priceless Battle Scarabs). After the case was closed, a shrine was erected in the King's honour, in which was placed his Crown, which was said to be inhabited by the ghost of Coltzan. As the shrine was unveiled, however, it emerged that the cunning [[Malkus Vile]], a [[wikipedia:Organized crime|crime lord]], had had the crown stolen - [[The Hunt for the Crown]] was on. Since the crown was returned, the Ghost of Coltzan blesses Neopets who mourn at his obelisk.

The Royal Family of Sakhmet went under another turbulent time, when the [[Princess Amira]] (who had inherited the throne from Coltzan III) received [[Prince Jazan]] IV of Qasala who demanded her hand in marriage based on some document of betrothment he had gathered from somewhere. He believed that marrying a Sakhmetain Princess would restore his lands and people, so when the Princess refused, he stole the City away with dark magic, where it became plagued by his demons. When he fell in love with [[Nabile]] (who could be seen as a princess of thieves, though her mother was Princess Neera so technically she is a real princess, as a matter of fact, she's Princess Amira's cousin), they married and Jazan restored Sakhmet, but his land did not prosper again and in fact the prophecy he fulfilled brought back to life his wicked, power-mad father [[Razul]] who attacked the Lost Desert until he was stopped.

===Qasala===
A once-beautiful city that fell on hard times and is now mostly in ruins after being obliterated 200 years ago by a sandstorm. Amongst the ruined buildings lie caches of histories and magic. One of the more notable buildings is the '''Temple of 1,000 Tombs'''.

This once thriving city had a very well respected Royal Family, until Razul cursed his own people, and his own son, Jazan, and laid down a prophecy that would enable him to live again after his death. Both Razul and Jazan controlled considerable sorcery.

==Activities in the Lost Desert==
The Lost Desert has a large number of shops, such as [[Lady Osiri]]'s [[Lady Osiri's Pottery|Pottery]], [[Sutek]]'s [[Sutek's Scrolls|Scrolls]], [[Battle Supplies and Desert Arms]], and [[Qasalan Delights]]. There are also several [[Dailies|daily-events]], such as [[Coltzan's Shrine]], the [[Fruit Machine]], and the [[Lost Desert Scratchcard Stall]]. Other [[games]] in the Lost Desert include [[Tug of War]] and [[Swarm]].

==Yooyuball==
The Lost Desert's [[Altador Cup|Yooyuball]] team of 2006 had a lineup which could have done lots of damage in the tournament, but troubles in 2006 ([["Dirty" Navers]]' aggressive tactics and [[Derbi Azar]]'s holdout) made fans wary of them and if they would effectively play. They managed beat the [[Virtupets Space Station|Space Station]] in the first round, but were beaten by [[Roo Island]] in Round Two. When the time came to assign blame for the improbable loss, most of the criticism was aimed at defenseman [[Wyett Tuggins]], who was repeatedly put to shame by the brilliant play of Roo Island's [[Fenny Vail]]. As a result, journeyman [[Luvea Trivon]] took his place in the 2007 games.
