Grey Faerie

[[Faerie]] in [[Neopia]] that doesn't receive much attention. Once lost her wings, and thereby her powers and was imprisoned by a dark faerie, but freed by a Kyrii mountain climber who tricked the lock of her cage.
Her old name was Baelia, and together with [[Taelia]] she is one of only two faeries with feathered wings (a few feathers can be seen sticking from her back). A very rare doll exists that shows Baelia's original shape : she wore green clothing, had green eyes, white wings and white hair. It is interesting to note that there are no faeries other than her that have white hair, like Taelia is the only one who has black hair. Currently she looks grey however, until she receives a new name which will restore her powers.

In olden times of war this magical creature was said to help inexperienced pets learn to defend themselves and on rare occasions teach the strongest ones a lesson they would never forget.

The world was in turmoil, the land ravaged by monsters and evil beings, they cried a hero, and there was... no hero, but hey, that's what makes a good story huh ;)

"Hey!" you say, the story cannot end like that. Of course not, there wasn't a hero, there was heroine, battle faerie, warrior princess. Forged in the heat of battle, this faerie had to defend and save many innocent lives. Who knows, in legendary times, she suddenly disappeared never to be seen again. It is said that she will appear to a world when danger looms on the horizon, who knows what is installed for neopia.

"A new [[faerie]] has been seen flying through [[Neopia]]. This exquisite creature is not as defenseless as she may seem for she is the legendary battle faerie. In olden times of war a magical creature was said to help inexperienced pets learn to defend themselves and on rare occasions teach the strongest ones a lesson they would never forget. Once peace was brought to Neopia the Battle Faerie disappeared. Nobody knew what happened to this strange creature, it was thought that she simply flew off to another realm where battles were still raging.

So why has this mystical Battle mistress returned? Maybe she can sense the arrival of the battledome and wishes to once more resume her role as chief battle advisor to Neopets. Maybe she heard a small pets cry for help and decided to start teaching the younger Neopets some attack and defense skills, maybe she just felt like traveling.... who knows But one thing is for sure. You will be seeing a lot more of the Battle Faerie in the future and if you are very lucky she may even guide your pets to be supreme fighters.

This is the Battle Faerie's trusty steed, [[Legacy]], it is rumored that this was once a Uni but in return for its loyalty the battle faerie transformed it into the splendid Stallion it is today.

The Battle Faerie can take on many guises and is just as happy on land as in water. She mainly adopts this appearance when visiting secretive sea creatures such as the [[Peophin]] and the [[Kiko]].

If you see the Faerie in full amour be very wary.... This means she is ready to fight and even her sparring blows can seriously damage an unarmed pet.

When the [[Faerie]] is traveling long distances across strange or dangerous lands you may see [[Legacy]] in battle mode. His tough amour is almost impenetrable."

[[Aethia]] is the current Battle Faerie, but her predecessor was [[Valeane]]

The Lost Desert Plot ran from August 30th through November 29th, 2005. This puzzle plot revolved around [[Tomos]], [[Nabile]], [[Jazan]] and [[Princess Amira]]; all new characters to the world of Neopia.

The large [[Temple of 1,000 Tombs]], unique to each user and requiring extensive mapping, as well as the enormously large [[Scroll Repository]] brought on a phenomenon known as [[OLDPD]] (Obsessive Lost Desert Plot Disorder).

During the beginning, most of the participants barely left their computers for fear of missing out on an important event that would possibly exclude them out of the plot; this would not be the case, however.

Extremely long waiting times, sometimes weeks long, drove Neopets’ users crazy with anticipation for new clues and/or parts to be released that would allow them to continue. This, combined with increasingly harder tasks sometimes taking 5-6 hours to complete, eventually weeded out most of those who had been there from the start.

After a fake ending was released, an attempt by [[TNT]] to get back at plot bashers, countless more quit leaving only around a few hundred to remain and finish the plot to the end.

On November 29th, 2005, the real ending was finally released and much like the fake ending, rubbed most people the wrong way. After three whole months and eighteen chapters, the plot was finally complete but very few were happy with the outcome and those that had completed it wished they had never even bothered.

Nabile is character in the [[Lost Desert Plot]] which ran from August through December, 2005, as well as a member of the [[Desert Scarabs]]; an underground group of thieves and street urchins.

She was born in one of the poorest districts of [[Sakhmet]] and since she was but a young child has been living on the streets. Over the years she has become a top-notch theift, honing her ability to nearly an art form.

Nabile secretly fell in love with [[Jazan]] after reading about his tragic life, and soon they were married in the Sakhmet palace, bringing the city back from the alternate dimension it had been placed.

Her and Jazan returned to [[Qasala]] and together they planned the rebuilding of the city, but Jazan soon realized Nabile was unhappy living amongst the ruins and sent her back to Sakhmet, hoping she would be happier there.

Now back in Sakhmet and reunited with her friend [[Tomos]], Nabile continued to look for a way to restore Qasala back to the land of the living but soon Jazan's father, Razul, attacked the city after being freed from his imprisonment.

As this happened Jazan realized his beloved was in danger and came to her rescue, but things turned out differently as Nabile ended up saving him by standing in front of an attack made by [[Razul]] which was meant to kill Jazan.

Now back in Sakhmet and reunited with her friend [[Tomos]], Nabile continued to look for a way to restore Qasala back to the land of the living but soon Jazan's father, Razul, attacked the city after being freed from his imprisonment.

As this happened Jazan realized his beloved was in danger and came to her rescue, but things turned out differently as Nabile ended up saving him by standing in front of an attack made by [[Ruzul]] which was meant to kill Jazan.
