World Challenges are competitions against random, unknown opponents to see who can get the most wins in an hour.

The player with the highest tally of wins (and meets all game requirements) at the end of the hour wins neopoints from the jackpot as well as a piece of a picture.

Every game that is in a world challenge will have the little world icon at the bottom of the game page. There is also a link at the bottom of the main games room page.

Everytime you get a score that is better than your random opponent, you get 1 point added to your World Challenge tally for the hour.

Everytime you get a score that is less than your random opponent, you get 1 point deducted from your World Challenge tally for the hour.

The player that has met ALL the requirements for that game (usually a certain number of players and a tally greater than 0) and has either the highest tally, highest sum of scores or highest score for the hour, wins a picture piece. You can only win once per hour regardless of how many categories you win in.

Some other features of the World Challenges:

-High score tables unique to the WC. Monthly and permanent, but no trophies awarded.
-3 picture set to collect and great prizes to receive when you complete a picture set.
-When you complete the third and final picture set, you have the option to clear all the pictures and start all over.
-All the prizes are ordered to match the difficulty level.
-Number of pic pieces that can be won are limited to 3 a day.
-The number of games available for the World Challenges has been reduced with the most popular games always appearing and the least popular games appearing in a limited rotation. This prevents teams from ganging up on unpopular games to get the incredibly valuable prizes from this contest with no effort.
-Picture pieces are selected randomly and placed into your inventory when awarded. This prevents hoarding of a square (leaving one square open in the set so that it is always won) and cornering the market (buying up that square from the marketplace).

The top winners of the World Challenge receive a piece of a picture as a prize.

These picture pieces form a larger picture. You can everything with them that you can with a regular item.

Once the pieces are all acquired, you can combine them all to create an item!

Once you convert a full picture, the pieces do not disappear, and subsequent gameplays will not award you with another piece unless there is another set of pieces for another picture in the same world.

Picture pieces are selected randomly and placed into your inventory when awarded. This prevents hoarding of a square and cornering the market by rich players.

To win a piece from a set after the first set, you must have collected all the pieces from the previous set in that world and converted them.

Once you do that, all your wins in a specific world will go towards the new set.

You do not need to convert ALL the sets in ALL the worlds in order to win pieces for the second sets. You just need to have collected all the pieces in the first set and converted the picture before you can receive pieces for the second set.

If you receive a picture piece that you already have, post it as a trade in trades!

==Rules/Explanation==
You must have a tally of greater than 0 and at least 5 players entered into the World Challenge to win a prize for all World Challenges.

Your tally is based on how many wins you have minus the number of loses you have.

For example, if you play against someone who is in first place and beat them, it does not put you into first place.

What puts you into first place is if the number of wins you have minus the number of loses is higher than anyone else.

For example, 3 wins and 4 loses will give you a tally of -1.

You are matched up randomly against other players. Whoever has the higher score gets a +1 added to their tally and the loser gets a -1 added to their tally.

The scores you send in to compete in a World Challenge must meet a minimum requirement in order to keep other players from spamming low, easy to beat scores quickly in hopes of letting their partner in crime get a bunch of cheap wins.

So, we've been using this script for a while to link images from Neopets.

Well, we really should sort out some sort of vandalism scale, with suggested hours for each level of vandalism noted, rising for repeat offenders within a range of hours per crime. :It's easy to spot vandalizers. people who just post smileys or say "hi" are part of it, though they may be unintentional, and "seeing for themselves" if they can REALLY type in whatever they want and show it to the world. so i guess people who do things like that should at least receive some warning instead of complete banning (unless, of course, they do it to several pages, and should really know better). next higher offender would be those who upload content for the purpose of advertizing their account. the worst offenders are those who place malicious or abhorent material on articles (spam links, or random wiki code with no data in them). So i suppose a system could be written around those levels, yes?

Himmelsdemon? That's a wonderful idea. Well, I think I expressed a bit wrong what I meant. The idea was to be able to protect pages so that only registered users are able to edit them, not making the wiki "IP-free". We had this before on our German wiki, but I think this made the wiki less attractive to writers. The method i would use: I would save the "clean" version of the talk pages (which have not been used for anything except vandalism and letting people know about it to begin with), and delete the talk page. would then recreate it with the clean talk page. all the revisions would still be saved for us admins to look over (deleted as they are), and the new history would be clean slate. I think it's better than having over 250 revisions of xanax and other spammed edit summaries confusing people...yes, there have been over 250 vandalisms on the armada page. :(

Yes, we ''are'' following the [[NeoDex:Categorization|categorization rules]] set. Individual games will not be labelled with the "Games" category, but all the sub-categories (action, puzzle, etc.) of game types it belongs to ([[Scourge of the Lab Jellies]] is a "board game" and "puzzle"). Only if there is no sub-category for it to go in should a game be placed in the games category. Game articles which already have the games category attached to them are that way because they haven't been taken off yet.

Mayor Thumburt was capable of being fought in the [[battledome]] from November 17, 2006, to November 19 (in any of the three forms he appeared in). Users needed to visit Neovia and recieve a challenge from him before they could face him in any of his forms. Fought in the [[Stone Dome]], users across the world needed to band together to take down his large HP amount, due to the face he could not be defeated by any one Neopet. Mayor Thumbert's total HP was lowered by the amount of damage each Neopet was capable of doing to him.

Regardless of what [[Battledome Equipment]] used during a battle against him (including a ''full blocker'' such as [[Thick Smoke Bomb]]), Mayor Thumburt automatically gives a Neopet with over 800 HP of damage, even if he doesn't use any weapons. With weapons, he is capable of giving well over 1000 HP of damage with such weapons as [[Pirate Captains Cutlass]], [[Ghostkerbomb]], [[Sword Of Skardsen]], an assortment of [[Battle Dung]], and his signature weapons (Mayors Walking Cane, Mayors Top Hat, and Mayor Throwing Stars). He was capable of freezing Neopets at any time with a [[H4000 Helmet]] in his first form , and [[Magical Marbles of Mystery]] in his final two. Not only that, he had a [[Jade Scorchstone]], [[Prismatic Mirror]] and [[Thyoras Tear]], capable of healing or blocking all damage, rendering all a Neopet's efforts useless. He could also use [[Berserk]] and the [[Sponsor Ability]] [[Scorch]].

The 1st form of Mayor Thumburt was defeated around 9:27 PM NST November 17, 2006, just hours after his release.

Ranking among Neopia's most feared residents, Jhudora is regarded with suspicion and always approached with caution. Her temper and tendency to deceive and manipulate are well known, but that isn't enough for the other [[faeries]] to condemn her. But as a result of her actions she's watched very closely by her faerie sisters. It's been rumoured over the years she had ties to several terrible things that have occurred in Neopia. Until there is any proof, however, Jhudora remains free.
