The Mutated Chia's difficulty is overstated. He has a considerable amount of HP, but he only has two weapons that can potentially do six icons. A cheap combination of strong snowballs and one-time use healing elixirs from the [[Healing Springs]] would've been enough to defeat him.

After defeating him a few times, the Mutated Chia will become a sort of [[Punchbag Bob]] opponent for weaker [[Neopet]]s, one that bites back only a little bit. This made him a less than ideal opponent for low-level Neopets to fight, and is probably one of the reasons he was retired.

The Gormball is a filled with water, and may explode at any time. Users have the opportunity to choose how long to wait with the ball before passing it on: the longer one does so, the more points one earns, but a user must be sure to throw it to the next player before it should explode.

When it explodes with a character holding it, they are out of the game, and the number of points they have accumulated become translated into Neopoints awarded to the player.

The object of the game is to accumulate points and be the last player standing. Each game costs 20 [[NP]], with items - in addition to Neopoints - being offered as game prizes. Randomly during playing, one may receive a special Gormball bonus of points or items.

Players pass the ball around in a counterclockwise circle one person at a time. The person holding the ball has to choose a number of seconds (1 to 5) before passing it to the next player. The ball is set on a random timer on how many seconds it will take before it goes off. When it goes off on a player that player is disqualified, and the last person remaining is the winner.

Right at the appearance of the Kyrii, they began to make friends due to their friendly and easy going nature. Always on the lookout for new places to explore, Kyrii like to travel together in packs, but get along with other Neopets as well. They take pride in the condition of their hair, and if it gets dirty a Kyrii will get very upset. Kyrii also have an allergy to any [[food]] with the word "apple" in it, and come down with [[Itchy Scratchies]] if they eat any.

In the official description of the Kyrii, it's said the "Kyrii appeared in Neopia one day without any notice." This is not the case however, as it was noticed by the many owners of Fuzio. This has been left in the description as either a joke from [[The Neopets Team]] or to simplify the Neopet description for users new to Neopets.

==Fuzio==
The Kyrii was originally known as the '''Fuzio''', one of the first Neopets created. Named "Fuzio" probably due to it being a ball of fluff similar to the [[JubJub]], but with floating, detached sneakers and gloves (similar in design to the character [[Wikipedia:Rayman (character)|Rayman]]). The design of the current Kyrii was voted upon by users and was finalized on February 9, 2001 (design #4 of 5 different designs, which received over 30,000 votes). All Fuzio in Neopets were then replaced with the new design, all Fuzio colours being replaced with Kyrii versions. It's unknown why the redesign took place, if it was due to copyright issues or an outdated design. Nobody knows how Garoo ascended through the ranks of Sloth's evil army so quickly, but within a matter of three years Garoo had been appointed chief commander of Sloth's invasion and capture of the [[Grundo]]s. It is believed it was his mean temper, foul attitude, and utter contempt for other [[Neopet]]s that caught his Sloth's eye.

==Overview==
Altador lies far from current Neopian society, all the way on the unexplored "other side" of Neopia. It has only recently made contact with the world, due to the fact it literally disappeared from memory over 1000 years ago due to time manipulation (similar to [[Meridell]]). Since its reappearance, it has begun trade with the rest of the Neopia.

The reappearance of Altador was shared with all Neopians on March 1, 2006, when two brave Neopets (believed to be [[Tormund]] and [[Roberta]]) discovered a strange portal in [http://neopets.com/faerieland/faeriecity.phtml Faerie City] (specifically [[Fyora]]'s chambers), which teleports to the Hall of Heroes.

It's currently ruled by 11 [[Gallery of Heroes|heroes]], the head of which is [[King Altador]], from which the city gains its name.

==History of Altador==
Much of the history of Altador is shrouded in mystery, while pieces of it have been revealed in The Darkest Faerie video game and in the [[Altador Plot]].

Altador was originally a peaceful and prosperous land, ruled by 12 protectors, one of which was a [[Dark Faerie]], now only known as [[The Darkest Faerie]]. As the other leaders aged, The Darkest Faerie believed she should be the sole ruler of Altador because of her immortality, and began plotting against the other protectors to take over. [[Jerdana]], the one of the 12, banished the Faerie from Altador when she learned of her plot. Outraged at her banishment, she planned against Altador from afar, and returned wreaking havoc on the city. To protect the city, Jerdana placed it within a spell of slow time. [[Fyora]] then used ''Jerdana's Orb'' to trap The Darkest Faerie in stone, and where she fell to the bottom of the [[Maraqua]]n ocean.

1000 years passed for the rest of the world, while little to no time passed in Altador, and The Darkest Faerie eventually broke free, forcing the remaining 11 (who blended into the world of Neopia) into action to find two heroes to fight against her. [[Tormund]] and [[Roberta]] were separately selected, and eventually came to Altador to discover a way to stop The Darkest Faerie and release Altador from the time spell, both of which were accomplished.

==Yooyuball==
The [[Altador Cup|Yooyuball]] team of Altador boasts an airtight defence, allowing them to usually win with only one goal per game. During the 2006 season, they averaged the least amount of goals allowed per game coming into the Altador Cup, though it is question if they could generate enough scoring to stay in the tournament.

Having lost in Round One of the 2006 tournament, many were lead to believe Altador was out of practice after the thousand year hiatus, which prompted them to work hard during the following year's practices, exhibitions, and regular season matches, making them fighting fit and ready to prove the loss was a fluke. Team Captain [["Trapper" Remis]] cautioned the "so-called experts" that picking against them was madness, and was quoted telling the press, "After all, let's not forget who invented the game. No one's gonna stop us from taking back what's rightfully ours."

There are 56 default avatars which are provided to players automatically, depicting every [[Neopet]] and common [[Faerie]], but there are currently over 300 secret avatars which can be unlocked. To find these, users must perform tasks such as getting a high score at a flash game (Score 10,000+ points in [[Snow Wars II]]), visiting a particular page (View the [[Grey Faerie]]'s [[Neopedia]] article), or equipping their pet with a certain [[Battledome Equipment]] (own a [[Grarrl]] and equip it with '''Bony Grarrl Club'''). These are just a few ways to acquire them.

When certain items are needed for an avatar, it can boost the item's price considerably. Such an example is use of the [[Nerkmid]], making them almost [[unbuyable]] due to the large price. When [[item]]s used avatar can be reused (i.e. don't disappear), users can lend them out (for [[Wikipedia:Collateral (finance)|collateral]] or for free) so others can obtain the avatar without having to buy the item themselves. While [[Mystery Island]] would seem like the obvious choice for surfing in [[Neopia]], the professional surfers know that the waves at the waterfalls of Shenkuu are the biggest. Two of those professionals are [[Bowe]] and [[Cassile]], of whom the player needs to guide one to the end: a lake at the end of level six.

==How to play==
The game starts after the user has picked one of the two surfers. There's no difference in gameplay between them, except that they perform the various tricks slightly differently. The goal of the game is to reach the end of Shenkuu River and to score as many points as possible by doing stunts and picking up power-ups. The user has three lives, which are reduced by one when a crash landing is made or when an obstacle is hit. The only way to get them back is by reaching the next level, which restores one life.

As the user descends the waterfall, the game proceeds to become more difficult. The river makes more turns, and the number of obstacles and their size increases as well. Certain moves, the ''Double Jump'' and the ''Long Jump'' aren't available until just before the third level and just before the fifth level, before which they aren't needed. Besides steering the riverboard to safely pass through the levels, the user has to pick up power-ups. They look like small, glowing orbs and are each worth one point. There are three different ones: one increases speed, one allows a super jump and the third one grants a one time invulnerability.

While reaching the end within a certain time limit gives the user points, far more can be obtained by performing stunts. A stunt can be done during a jump or fall by holding down Shift. The longer the stunt takes to perform, the more points it is worth. During a jump or fall, there's usually enough time to perform multiple stunts. In that case, the points will be added to a total. Points for stunts are only awarded when they are followed by a safe landing. This means one has to land on the water (or sometimes the shore) when ''not'' performing a stunt. The queued stunts can be cleared by pressing the ''Spacebar''.

There are six stunts available in Shenkuu River Rush. Making am error when entering a trick code resets the arrow input, and starts over from the first working input key. Each stunt has a basic value for performing it, but the values can become bigger by doing multiple stunts in one fall or jump.

Upon the release of the redesigned Games Room, Aristotle set users a selection of gaming related challengers on a number of qualifying Flash Games. There were twelve challenges, five of which had hidden terms that were not revealed until the challenge was completed. Challenges included sending a score on a set number of of games, sending a challenge card, sending multiple challenge cards, and adding a game to the users favourite games list.

Completion of each of the challenges earned the user a random prize, but all the challenges had to be completed in 8 days of the plot's release. Originally, this was going to be a day less, but was extended because users under 13 (without parental permission) were having technical difficulties with the challenges.

===Daily Dare===

Every day for the month of March, in 2007, Aristotle challenged users to beat his score in a differing game each day. Additionally, his sister Abigail also laid down a lower score that users could challenge if they wished to, instead of Aristotle's. The user did not need to stick to one or the other's score to challenge in each of the different games - they could challenge AAA's score one day and his sisters the next, for example, should they wish to.

Completion of each day's challenge awarded the user with a prize. The prize items were solely released in conjunction with this plot, unlike the Games Master Challenge.

Additionally, there were additional prizes available for beating AAA at each game on their day of release, for beating AAA or Abigail at each game on their day of release, for defeating AAA at all of his games by the end of the challenge, and for defeating AAA or Abigail at all of the games by the end of the challenge.

Abigail, Aristotle's little sister, is bright and insightful for her age, but she certainly doesn't have her big brother's ego. While she loves playing with her [[Usuki]]s and participating in other activities, Abigail has also picked up some gaming skills from her brother and enjoys a good game from time to time. Her skills, however, are typically a far cry from those of her brother, who spends all of his time playing and practicing. As a result, Abigail's challenges are generally easier than those that Aristotle offers.

Though most would be horrified by the thought of being related to AAA, Abigail is well aware of her brother's ego issues and doesn't let them bother her at all. The next morning, she found a path she went through before, and discovered [[Neovia]]. While walking through its streets, she found a burnt down house, and investigating it found a mysterious silver locket. Curious about it, Gilly went to the [[Deserted Fairgrounds]] to ask the carnival workers if they knew anything about it. The responses varied from worker to worker but she did not get any definitive information.

Returning to Neovia, she investigated a path into the woods that lead her to [[Sophie]]'s shack. Gilly entered warily and asked if Sophie knew anything about the cursed town. Sophie, annoyed, merely said that there were a lot of myths associated with the Woods. When Gilly said that she had seen the city, and had a locket she was trying to investigate, Sophie snatched the charred relic and demanded Gilly to leave, lest she turn her into a stink beetle like she should have done to begin with.

Gilly ran from the house into the rain, and discovered a cave. Taking shelter in it, she was pursued by a monstrous, shadowy creature who she managed to trap using an assortment of broken furniture and some rotten food as bait. The muscular, disfigured [[Gelert]] rose from the trap and chased Gilly from the cave, and crashed through the woods after her to Sophie's shack. She pounded on Sophie's door, imploring for help, and when Sophie came out to send Gilly away, she suddenly recognised the beast as her brother: [[Bruno]].

Bruno told his sister what had happened to him, and Sophie explained that [[Ilere]] took her to the shack and vanished, and that when she returned to Neovia a few days later, it was deserted. It remained deserted until [[Halloween]], where it was bustling with spectral, unreal and strangely vacant forms the inhabitants. Every Halloween, they reappeared there. Sophie had worked ever since then on a cure, but to no avail.

Gilly realized that this must be the price the [[Spirit of Slumber]] executed for his services. Sophie and Bruno did not know this of the legend, and encouraged by Gilly, they went to find Ilere, in the hope that she knew more about the Spirit.

After travelling through the woods for some time and solving a Ghost [[Meepit]] lock puzzle, the trio entered Ilere's home and told her what they knew of Neovia's curse. Ilere claimed that the Spirit has great power and that they should abandon this mission before they got hurt. Bruno, enraged at this, ran at Ilere, who fought back with a blast of magic. Sophie separated the two with a spell of her own, and Bruno complained that with all Ilere's power she just sits back and does nothing about Neovia, and left Sophie to fend for herself.

Ilere admits that Sophie is stronger than she suspected, and tells Sophie what she knows of the Spirit, but suggests they seek out older denizens of the wood - those that have been there far longer than she, and would know more of him. They part with Ilere's wish to them that they, for their own sake, do not succeed.

Gilly suggests they do as Ilere mentioned, and seek out other habitants of the Woods. She suggests the [[Brain Tree]], but Sophie refuses on account of a "bad experience" with him. When Gilly insists, she receives the brunt of a blast of magic. Bruno complains that Gilly is right, and Sophie had to overcome her grudge. However, when they talked to the Brain Tree, he said he needed to know when the Spirit died before he gave them his name. Gilly takes them to the [[Esophagor]], to the protest of Sophie who had another "bad experience" with it, but the Esophagor requires the Spirits name to give a date of birth.

Gilly complains about the paradox, which prompts Sophie to mention that she can use a potion to identify the bones of the Spirit. When asked how they could know which grave to search, the answer is obvious: Bruno, Gilly and Sophie had to check every single grave in the Haunted Woods until they found a match. Gilly finally found the Spirit of Slumber's bone, but the headstone on the grave it came from was broken, so they could not find the name yet.

They decide that the best way to find the Spirit's name is to go to the Caretaker's house, look through the books storing the names and cross out everyone until they're left with one match. The Spirit's true name was ''Jubart Igig''. Gilly comments that this could be an anagram of something, but then decided against it. This was probably a reference to her experiences in the ''Castle of [[Eliv Thade]]''. Sophie slams the book shut, saying that the only way they can summon him is to have the Spirit inhabit their body. Bruno says he'll do it, for Gilly was too small. After some potion mixing and testing, the Spirit of Slumber inhabited Bruno's body and led the way to Neovia. Gilly says that she hoped that they don't run into any werelupes, and Sophie says that werelupes are quite rare around Neovia. On the way, Sophie stares at her necklace, and Gilly comments that it's very pretty.

After arriving at Neovia, Gilly adds that Sophie would have to introduce her to her mother one they cure the town. Sophie commented that this might not work, but Gilly objects, saying that she knows they will. The Spirit of Slumber undoes his spell, then leaves Bruno's body, leaving him weak.

Looking quite frazzled, Gilly tries to get Sophie's attention. Sophie turns around just in time to see that the townspeople, including her family, were mutating past there cursed forms into even more monstrous forms. Gilly yelled that the Spirit of Slumber only undid his spell, and not the potion. Horrified, Sophie bolted out of neovia, leaving Gilly with Bruno. They try to run, but were surrounded by the mutated Neovians.

[[Mayor Thumburt]] pointed to them and said that they were the ones to blame, and the Neovians attacked. Bruno then spots [[Mr. Krawley]], at the edge of the mob. Seeing that he noticed him, Krawley ran. Bruno says he'll hold back the crowd, and Gilly runs ater him. While running, Krawley brings a couple of grave stones and then some trees to life, and Gilly defeated them with a shovel, probably left over from the grave digging.

Gilly finally catches up with Mr. Krawley and accuses him of selling the potions, then asking who he was, where Krawley revealed his name. He tells her that what she needs is inside of the building they where standing in front of, and Gilly objects him of lying, but Krawley tells her he led her to the house for a reason. Then zombies groaning for brains walk in to the courtyard, probably summoned to life by Mr. Kawley. He tells her that the way is becoming blocked. Wearily, Gilly goes inside. Meanwhile, Bruno is being attacked by the neovians, and Sophie, returning back to her shack, begins mixing up a potion.

Yes, on that fateful day the smileys were indeed not working. They had been stolen and whisked away to a place far, far away where they would have all the colour removed from them and would become plain, boring text. The players of Neopets would no longer laugh out loud, there would be no more rolling on the floor, and they could try as hard as they liked but their ... ummm .... arms would never come off.

In this game you play The Last Smiley. You must find, and liberate the other smileys and make your way through the world of Neopia back to the NeoBoards where you belong.

*Level 1

Do you really need a guide for this level? Just go around collecting smilies. The only advice I have is not to jump or hit a bump at mach 4.

*Level 2

Before you do anything, get all the smilies on the side you are on. Go to a gap and try to jump across and get a smiley in the air. If you miss, jump back and forth until you get the smiley. On the other side, get all the smilies, then get the other smiley in the air. Now just get to the finish.

*Level 3

Here's advice: Do NOT jump at the edges while going fast. Get any smilies you see if you're on the platform. Jump from platform to platform in this order: Start on the left platform, jump left, jump left, jump right, jump left, turn around, jump left, turn around, jump left, jump left, jump left, turn around, jump left, turn around, jump right, turn around, jump right, jump left, jump right, jump right, turn around, jump left, turn around, jump left, jump right, jump left, then go to the finish.

*Level 4

You'll start this level on a hill. Go straight down, without turning, as fast as possible, and you SHOULD ramp over the gap. Now, there's one smiley to the left and one in front of you, behind a speed pad. Get the one to the left. There are two ways here. You can creep to the speed pad slowly, or squeeze between the speed pad and the ramp to get the smiley, then zip on the slanted wall on the left. On the next platform, there's a smiley in the middle. Jump to get it. There's another speed pad and slanted wall. Do what you did last time. On the final (Or is it?) platform, get the final smiley in the top left corner.

*Secret

You may have noticed the speed pad in front of the angel smiley. Ram at that as fast as you can, and you should fly over the wall. You'll land on another platform. to the right, there's a wooden ramp sloping up. Go underneath it to get a catfish smiley. NOW you can go to the finish.

*Level 5

Before you go anywhere, turn around to see a smiley hiding behind you. Get it. Now, go on the thin path. Right after you start going, there's a fork. Go straight. Keep following the path, turning if needed. The path will bring you to a platform. There's another path leading you to another platform. Keep going until you get to the platform with a smiley. Get it, then follow the path. Move past the finish, then across the bridge to the smiley. Follow the other path to get to the angel smiley.

*Secret

Where the angel smiley is, you can keep going up. When you get all the way up, jump to the platform. There's an invisible smiley *points to picture above* about where smiley is.

On level 5, after you turn around and get the first smiley, go to the fork in the road and instead of taking the straight way take the right one which leads to the dead end. The moving elevator will come directly to you and take you to the secret platform. You can take the secret smiley and get back on the elevator immediately. Then the elevator will take you back to the same place you caught it but instead of jumping there wait till the elevator moves and stops in mid-air and then heads back to the place you started the level. It takes longer but it's a much easier way to get the smiley.' -As said by stilllearning

*Level 6

Keep going up the ramp, collecting any smilies you see, until you get to the top. Note: Don't go too fast, or you'll fly off the ledge. When you get to the top, there'll be a bridge. If you get on it, it will lean down on the place you are at, making it impossible to get up. Push one of the boxes nearby onto it. Now, jump up to the ledge at the end of the bridge. (Note: fire_pheonix100 died at this part, and when she got back up, the bridge was gone. Be warned.) Follow the narrow path until you come to the first fork. Go left to get the smiley. Go back to the main path, then get to the other fork and go right. Go around the square to get the last two smilies.

*Secret

Where there was the sad smiley, there was also a path sloping down. Go down there. You'll see a red button; jump on it. It will bounce you up to the catfish smiley. The thing that makes this tricky is getting down and back. The path is steep and crooked. All I can say is be careful.

Get all the smileys in that level and head to the exit. Instead of going to the exit go to the left of the exit and you will see the secret smiley platform directly below. Now you can either jump directly on it or as I prefer aim for jumping to the left back corner of the platform (Jump on that corner wall). Then switch to character view mode and maneuver to the front of the platform. Go back to normal mode and go up to the first valley in the pathway you normally use to get down there. Turn around and run and jump to get the smiley. That way you will get the smiley without losing a life and you can use the end level code to end the level.' -As said by stilllearning

*Level 7

As soon as you start, go to the right and get the smiley on top of the dune. Now, turn around and go to the teleporter on the stone. Jump up and go in it, then get the smiley on the platform it teleports you to. Go back in it, then get the smilet up against a wall nearby. Go around the large pyramid to the small cut-off one. Jump on it, get the smiley, then jump to the smiley on the shrine. (This may take a few tries.) Now you can get the secret, or jump (yes, jump) onto the finish.

*Secret

Up against the huge pyramid were a couple speed pads. Hit them at full force to be launched up to the secret smiley.

*Level 8

As soon as you start, there'll be stone platforms in front of you. Keep in mind that you'll slip if you hold backwards. Jump to the first platform, then second (get the smiley), then third. Jump to the pyramid in front of you, not the left platform. Jump to get the smiley in the corner, then to the stone pathway. Keep following it to the smiley, get it, then onto the crack between the two slabs. DON'T press any button, it'll go down and jump by itself. Jump over the bump, and get the last smiley.

The Gormball is a filled with water, and may explode at any time. Users have the opportunity to choose how long to wait with the ball before passing it on: the longer one does so, the more points one earns, but a user must be sure to throw it to the next player before it should explode.

When it explodes with a character holding it, they are out of the game, and the number of points they have accumulated become translated into Neopoints awarded to the player.

The object of the game is to accumulate points and be the last player standing. Each game costs 20 [[NP]], with items - in addition to Neopoints - being offered as game prizes. Randomly during playing, one may receive a special Gormball bonus of points or items.

==How to play==
Players pass the ball around in a counterclockwise circle one person at a time. The person holding the ball has to choose a number of seconds (1 to 5) before passing it to the next player. The ball is set on a random timer on how many seconds it will take before it goes off. When it goes off on a player that player is disqualified, and the last person remaining is the winner.

On June 2 all teams from around Neopia gathered to practice for the games ahead of them, and countless Neopians gathered to watch their favourites take the field. Between practices, most of the players would go and meet their fans, signing autographs. Five days later and the day before the games began, [[Kiko Lake]]'s Left Forward [[Holbie Pinnock]] was injured due to [[Relle Felson]]'s sling breaking and flying off into Holbie's head, taking him out of the games. [[Helmo Timm]], the one Holbie was replacing, immediately asked to be put back in the game to play, or Kiko Lake would likely not win their games.

On June 9 the first round matches of the Altador Cup tournament begun. Among the eight match ups, two showed to be very interesting. First was "The Moon vs. The Goons," or the [[Haunted Woods]] versus [[Kreludor]]. It was uncertain who would win, but it would be entertaining. Second was [[Brightvale]] and Kiko Lake. With Kiko Lake suffering from a recent string of injuries fans were devastated to learn they were facing Brightvale in Round One, who are notorious for their roughhouse tactics. They were certainly going to take a cheap shot at Timm and put her back on the sidelines for good.

The first round of games ended on June 13. The biggest surprise of the first round was Krawk Island's defeat of Altador. Early in the game, Altador showed no effects from not playing in 1000 years, staggering Krawk Island with their display of passes and shots. Krawk Islander eventually made a comeback, however, and the game's deciding score was a goal by Krawk Island's "Dasher" Soley, who sent a one-timer sailing past Altador's diving goalie after curling around a screen and receiving a perfect pass from defender Nitri Cassale. Altador attempted to mount a final rally as time ran out, but Garvin Hale easily preserved the win with a routine save.

Faerieland's trio of undersized forwards were no match for the brute strength of Mystery Island's Volgoth, blasting through Faerieland's defence and leading Mystery Island to a surprisingly lopsided win. Despite the effort of Helmo Timm, Kiko Lake's offense was unable to generate an attack against Brightvale's defence. Though disappointed by the loss, many of Kiko Lake's fans said they were thankful that Timm was able to play the whole game without suffering any further injuries, who promised they'd be back better than ever next year.

Darigan's defenders broke Terror Mountain's spirit early in the match, making them look unusually disorganised even by Terror Mountain's usual standards. It didn't take long for the match to turn into a rout, and by that point it was obvious Terror Mountain had given up and simply "mailing this one in." The closest match of the first round took place between Kreludor and the Haunted Woods. Despite coming into the contest as serious underdogs, Kreludor showed no fear as they chipped away at one of the tournament's most vaunted defences. Kreludor managed to stay in the game till the very end, when a breakaway goal by Zo Junior sealed the victory for the Haunted Woods.

The Space Station's fate was sealed when none of their offensive players were able to step up when Lost Desert double-teamed Keetra Deile. With their star forward neutralized, scores by Azar and Cayle proved to be more than enough fire-power for the Lost Desert to earn the win.

Meridell took an early lead, as Maraqua's defenders were outclassed by King Skarl's trio of speedy forwards. However, Elon Hughlis single-handedly got Maraqua back in the game, despite being double and triple teamed the entire match. In the end Hughlis's effort fell short, as he was simply unable to keep pace with the Meridell all by himself.

The second biggest surprise of the knock-out round came from Roo Island's ability to overcome Tyrannia's talented defence. Time after time, Forward Lilo Blumario would either draw a double team and then pass to an unguarded team mate (who more often than not made the most of their scoring opportunity) or, facing only single coverage, blow past his defender for a shot at the goal. With the first round drawn to a close, early speculation of who would win the tournament's Most Valuable Player award were centred on forwards Lilo Blumario , "Dasher" Soley , and Volgoth.

Round 2 matches (the Quarter-finals) began on June 15 and ended on June 20, with the following match ups: Krawk Island faced off against their neighbours, Mystery Island, who after easily beating Faerieland in the knock-out round was a favourite to win. Thanks to the goal tending of Garven Hale who played a spectacular game (even by his standards), who stopped many point-blank shots from Mystery Island's duo of Volgoth and Nix to preserve the win.

Meridell and the Darigan Citadel faced off this round as well, with high tensions considering they fought in [[Champions of Meridell]] and [[Battle for Meridell]]. Darigan Citadel pulled through however, lead the way by Layton Vickles who broke through the Meridell defence to score a trio of goals (referred to by some as a "hat trick"), putting to rest any talk of their previous tendency to fail in the face of a worthy opponent.

Brightvale and the Haunted Woods faced off, and being two of the toughest teams to score against many believe it would be a match with little scoring, but very physical. This was half right, as the Haunted Woods stopped the Brightvale offense while the Haunted Woods' passing and well prepared offence were not stopped by Brightvale's underhanded tactics. It was believed before the match begun the victor would stagger into the next round completely exhausted and probably defeated by their next opponent.

The Lost Desert faced off against Roo Island, and tried the same tactic they used against Keetra Deile and cripple their offence. However, even being double and triple-teamed for the entire game Blumario was still able to create enough offensive opportunities for his team mates, along with assistance of Fenny Vail who took up the slack of scoring while the Lost Desert covered Lilo Blumario. Roo Island won the match to the surprise of nearly everyone, placing them as one of the final four teams.

Talk of post-tournament awards had Lilo Blumario winning the MVP, with Garven Hale coming in second. If voting were held that day, All-Star player choices would include Blumario, Layton Vickles and "Dasher" Soley at forward, Krell Vitor at defender, and Garven Hale at goalkeeper. Honourable mentions would most likely be given to Volgoth and Zo Junior at forward, and "Dirty" Navers at defender.

Round Three semifinals began on June 23 and ended on June 27, with Krawk Island facing the Haunted Woods and Roo Island against Darigan Citadel. In the Roo Island vs. Darigan Citadel match, spectators focused on the match-up between Lilo Blumario and Tormo "The Terror" Frein, who was relied upon to go against Lilo one on one, unlike previous teams to double or triple-teamed him. The strategy worked, and Tormo "The Terror" Frein managed to hold his own against Lilo Blumario and allow only a single goal and an assist. Layton Vickles also played well, carrying the Darigan offense with a flurry of shots Clutch Billaban was unable to stop, reverting to his old soft-goal allowing ways, giving up too many points for the Roo Island offence to keep up.

In Krawk Island vs. the Haunted Woods, the Haunted Woods took the win, managing to score enough goals past Garven Hale despite his effort, and Krawk Island was unable to score enough goals against their defensive. The result would see the Haunted Woods and Darigan Citadel face off in the final rounds.

The final round began on June 30 and ended July 6. To everyone's surprise, the game began with a quick score by Tandrak Shaye when Fanetti threw a sloppy pass to Chelo Binay, which Shaye caught and in one sweeping motion threw it past Fanetti, who was unprepared for the sudden throw. Locking down into their usual defensive stranglehold, the Haunted Woods kept Layton Vickles from throwing single shot at the goal. The defensive stalemate continued on until Krell Vitor forced a fumble and passed to Zo Junior, who began running towards the goal the moment the ball was loose. Striding just beyond the reach of Tormo Frein, Zo made a stutter step which sent Mungo Lifler diving to his left, which allowed Zo easily score the goal and tie the game.

With the game still tied and less than thirty seconds left, Darigan Citadel sent a double team at Wan Dirx, forcing him to make a pass meant for Zo Junior, which was picked off by Kep Bonnefie, who ran through the clear path to the opposing goal. Unbeknownst to Kep, Wan Dirx was quickly gained ground from behind and blocked the ball with a dive when Bonnefie made a shot at the Haunted Woods' goal. With Bonnefie baffled at what just happened, Dirx regained possession of the Yooyuball and dashed in the other direction. By the time the Bonnefie figured out what took place, he was out of position and unable to get back on defence in time.

On the other side of the field, Dirx made the most of the four-on-three advantage, throwing the Yooyuball to a briefly unguarded Chelo Binay, who in turn flicked the ball to Krell Vitor when his defender rushed over to keep him from getting a wide-open shot. In one swift movement, Vitor took Binay's lob and sent a one-timer past the reach of Mungo Lifler, giving the Haunted Woods a 2-1 lead as the final seconds ticked off the clock, earning them the right to take home the Altador Cup. The crowd went silent for a brief moment before erupting in cheer so loud the referee's whistle could barely be heard.

Unlike regular plots where the plot was directed by [[The Neopets Team]], the plot was directed by the collective users on Neopets, and how well they collectively played Yooyuball for each of their teams. After each round finished, a plot summary was written to act out who won in each Round.

Teams could be selected by the user, but there was also the option to be placed on a team via a quiz which tested their personality. Users could continue to switch teams until each round began, but couldn't change their team until sign-ups for the next round began. Users could send in their scores on June 8 - 11, June 15 - 18, June 22 - 25 and June 29 - May 3. The score they contributed was calculated by their win/loss/tie record, the number of goals scored each game, and a average based on team membership (so a team with more users participating wouldn't have an advantage over a team with fewer users).

It was a common misconception having a loss counted against a user's score, when in truth every completed game raised the users score higher. Some users who wanted a certain team to win tried to take advantage of the system by signing up for an opposing team and purposefully lose in order to try and lower the chance of them winning, when all it did was raise the score by having a game played. It's unknown if not playing at all lowered the score of teams.

Tournament play was single-elimination, which meant the team which won a match moved on to the next round while the team that lost was eliminated from play. Sixteen teams were randomly seeded and matched up, and after the eight losing teams were eliminated the eight winning teams were again randomly matched up and moved on to the quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, four more teams were eliminated while the remaining four headed to the semifinals. Semifinals determined which two teams fought in the final match.

On June 10, 2006, it was revealed The Neopets Team would be participating in their own Altador Cup, with staff members playing Yooyuball against each other for the best score. Sixteen members of the staff were assigned a team, and users were asked to vote who would take first, second and third place, winning [[Neopoint]]s based on the number of correct votes along with an [[avatar]] for correctly voting 1 of the Top 3. Voting ended on June 13, 2006.

Staff tournament rounds coincided with regular tournament rounds, starting with the same 8 match-ups of the real tournament. Scores submitted by the staff members wouldn't contribute towards the real tournament, due to the fact it would be viewed as cheating. Rather, staff scores were tallied individually, determining who stayed and continued to the round. The final tournament results were released on August 4, 2006. The participates were...

After the Altador Cup games came to an end, the best and worst of the tournament were awarded. The Altador Cup Committee chose nominees for each of the categoriesm and users were asked to choose who they thought was most deserving of the award. Winners of the awards were announced at the awards ceremony on August 4, 2006, and each correct prediction a user made earned them 1,000 [[Neopoints]].

Originally, the National Neopian worked like a real bank, and users could take out loans at March 21, 2000. Accounts began to be debited on March 23, 2000, taking an amount of NP each day. On May 20, 2000, this feature was taken away and never came back because too many users were abusing the system.

Most Petpets can be purchased in official Neopian [[shops]], but some are gained only by other activities, such as using the [[Cooking Pot]].

For a long time, Petpets could not be painted, but this was changed on October 2, 2001 with the introduction of the [[Petpet Paint Brush]], which is used at the [[Petpet Puddle]]. Later, on August 3, 2005, the [[Petpet Lab Ray]] was introduced. Like the Neopet [[Lab Ray]], the Petpet equivalent can alter a Petpet's [[colour]] and other statistics, such as species, level and name. The Petpet even has a chance of being completely destroyed.

A Petpet can also gain levels at the [[Petpet Battledome]] and by waking the [[Turmaculus]], but its levels will not be retained if the Petpet is ever removed from its Neopet. Originally, the National Neopian worked like a real bank, and users could take out loans at March 21, 2000. Accounts began to be debited on March 23, 2000, taking an amount of NP each day. On May 20, 2000, this feature was taken away and never came back because too many users were abusing the system.

==Collecting Interest==
Interest is calculated as a daily distribution, rounded up. However, users must actively collect the daily interest manually. Any items kept in the safety deposit box are safe from the [[Pant Devil]], [[Sludging]] etc. It also means users can carry more items by placing items from their [[inventory]] into the SDB. Users access the Safety Deposit Box by clicking on the ''"Shops"'' task bar button and then on the ''"safe"'' image in the toolbar.
