The '''Hissi''' is a snake-like [[Neopet]] with wings, likely based on the [[Wikipedia:Aztec|Aztec]] serpent god [[Wikipedia:Quetzalcoatl|Quetzalcoatl]]. It was released May 4, 2005. Hissi have acute vision and a keen sense of smell which makes them extremely good at games of hide and seek.

Users had been wanting a snake Neopet for a long time, and were happy to see the Hissi created. It is generally considered to be a fairly good pet, with nice artwork for the standard colors. Since most of the Neopets are drawn "cute," there is a large group of players who celebrate every time Neopets releases a non-cuddly pet.

Because they are [[Limited Edition]], not very many are created at the moment.

They originally appeared on March 22, 2001.

Chombies are one of many different species that exist in Neopia. Chombies naturally come from the prehistoric land of [[Tyrannia]], although many have ventured as far as the [[Lost Desert]] and [[Faerieland]].
