The '''Acara''' is a cat-like [[Neopet]] and has two horns on its head which drape backwards like ponytails. Acaras are amphibious and can breathe underwater, and it is sometimes hinted that the "tentacles" somehow give the Acara the ability to echolocate when submerged in water. The tentacles may imply that the Acara was based on ''Capricorn''. In general, they tend to be very playful and enjoy exploring, racing, and looking for hidden treasure under the sea.

As their huge eyes might suggest, Acaras are known for being highly inquisitive and curious creatures. They take a great joy in coming upon secrets and hidden things, and quite a few have distinguished themselves as very talented treasure-seekers. Some condemn Acaras for being nosey, and it is true that they tend to ask a few too many questions -- but there is no ill will behind those questions, just a genuine desire to learn.

Since they are equally at home on land or underwater, Acaras prefer to live along the coast.

They can be painted in any of 36+ colors available to the species. One of the more interesting of these is the [[Maraquan]] variant, which appears to be a return to the Acara's watery roots.

Originally, they were [[Limited Edition]] but have now become common.

When first introduced on the Neopets website on April 28, 2000, the pet now known as the Acara was an otter-like Neopet called the '''Tigren'''. They were chosen from a player's design as part of a Create-A-Pet contest. The name was changed on July 19 for reasons unknown, along with the '''Polypup''''s change to the [[Gelert]]. The news page of the time touted the change as "evolution", in keeping with the Pokémon-like feel that the pets originally had.

In Attack of the Slorgs you play a resourceful [[Yurble]] farmer who has decided to take things into his own hands. You have spent the last few weeks making your Slorgeriser X4, a machine that spits out balls of Slorg-B-Gone.

==How yo play==
Slorgs can only be repelled by balls of Slorg-B-Gone that are the same colour as them, and it has to be at least three of them at a time. If you fail to repel the Slorgs, they will increase in number - so watch out! Use the '''arrow keys''' to aim the Slorgeriser right and left, and press the '''Space Bar''' to fire.

==How to play==
Start by shooting the peanut out of the Elephante's trunk. Click on the '''left and right arrow keys''' to power up your throw. Once you get as high as you can, click the '''up arrow''' to throw.

Now help the Puppyblew chase the peanut down using the arrow keys again. Use the '''right arrow''' to move the Puppyblew forward in the screen and stay lined up with the shadow.

To avoid the logs, make the Puppyblew jump using one of the following key combinations:

*Left Up Right => Front Flip
*Right Up Left => Back Flip
*Up Right => Straight Jump
*Left Right Left Right Up => 2x Front Flip
*Right Left Right Left Up => 2x Backflip

===Hints===
Once you hold in the right arrow key to catch up to the shadow of the peanut, before you even approach the log, quickly press "right arrow","left arrow", "right arrow", "left arrow". That way, once you actually approach the log, all you have to do is press the "up" key, and you'll still do a 2x Front Flip (or back, I don't remember which) in a much easier manner! Always remember that once the peanut is on it's way down, perform a supercatch by jumping to catch the peanut in midair.
