The '''Slorg''' is a [[Wikipedia:Slug|slug]]-like [[Petpet#Spooky Petpet|Spooky]] [[Petpet]] released on August 30, 2001. They almost always have a huge, inane grin and large, round eyes. Slorgs are featured in the game [[Attack of the Slorgs]] and appear in some other games like [[Feed Florg]] and [[Petpet Cannonball]].

The Slorg is often used to comic effect by [[The Neopets Team]]: for example, they released a personality quiz - [http://www.neopets.com/games/whichpetpet.phtml Which Petpet are You?] - that always resulted, no matter what options were chosen, in the conclusion that the user was a Slorg. This was later claimed to be a "technical problem" and "fixed" on September 19, 2002, since which time the user is always categorised as a Pink Slorg.

It was suggested [[Neopets (website)|the website]]'s [http://www.neopets.com/add_poll.phtml now closed polls] that the Slorg may become a [[Neopet]], in the same way as the [[Krawk (Petpet)|Krawk]] in that a young Slorg would still be a Petpet and its adult version would become a Neopet. While votes for the idea were high, the idea has not been developed any further, and may just have been a comic conjecture.

The Slorg forms a [[Slorgclops]] when combined in the [[Cooking Pot]] with a [[Meowclops]].

In [[Neopets: Petpet Adventures - The Wand of Wishing]] they are common enemies.

He is frequently overwhelmed by his workload as Mumbo Pango demands meals every 5 minutes, and seeks help by asking for help finding ingredients in the Kitchen Quest. He stars in the game [[Island Chef Academy]].

The original Underwater Chef used to live in [[Maraqua#Old Maraqua|Old Maraqua]] serving [[King Koi]]'s Royal Family of [[Maraqua]], for whom she did the original Kitchen Quest, but was replaced by the Flotsam, to Mystery Island with some other Maraquan shopkeepers when [[The Destruction of Maraqua|Maraqua was destroyed]]. Masks of Dread is a [[wikipedia:Halloween|Halloween]] site event that started on the 26th of October 2011 and will end on the 31st of October 2011. It is located in the [[Haunted Faire]] and run by [[Saskia]], an [[Wikipedia:Aquamarine (color)|aquamarine]] [[Cybunny]].

Each day, Saskia allows players to try on one of her five masks and complete a quest. Players must have their active pet wearing the mask they chose that day to properly complete the quest. There is no particular order in which a player must choose the masks.

==Prizes==
If players successfully complete the quests, they are allowed to keep the mask they chose that day and are awarded various prizes. As with many recent site events, there is a [[NC Mall|Neocash]] element to this event. Players can purchase the ''Masks of Dread NC Quest Pack'' from the NC Mall and earn additional prizes when they complete the different quests. A special bonus prize will be awarded to players who complete all six quests on the days they are released.

He refused to continue paying the [[wikipedia:Protection racket|protection money]] to [[Captain Dread]], and following his defiance Old Maraqua was destroyed in a whirlpool. He briefly appeared in The [[Hunt for the Battledome]].

By the time of the [[Curse of Maraqua]] [[plot]], 15 March 2005, he had been succeeded by [[King Kelpbeard]].
