I received an Icy Negg today as a random event at the advent calendar. It says that the plain Icy Negg (Not Super or Ultra) is retired. After searching the shop wazard, I found that they sell for around 5k.

I don't really understand the point of neggs...what exactly are they/what do they do? Also, with my icy negg, would it be better to hold on to it and wait for the price to go up, or are enough people getting this retired item at the Advent Calendar that there will be a good supply of them for a long time, and I should just go ahead and sell it now?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Uses For Neggs:
1.) Food
2.) Some do weird things to your pets (ie increase BD stats, increase [or decrease for that matter] intelligence, change their colour)
3.) Negg Tokens (to buy MORE neggs)
4.) Selling

As for holding on to the Icy Negg, I think you should sell it. I don't think the price is gonna go up much any time soon. But that's just me.

They were intended to be rare food items that could help you pets but they go for quite a few thousand so I'd say you should sell.

Thanks everyone. I haven't been around in a day or two thanks to that new Trojan.Vundo virus thing. Anyway, I think I'm just going to sell my negg. Jasujo, thanks for that link. I put it in my favorites.
