Some idiots on the BD neoboard thought that it would be fun to post about a "hidden junkyard" that has secret items from the hidden tower thrown away in it. I hate attention seeking ignorant people that need a therapist because there mom didn't love them enough as a child! What's worse is that they have all these poor New Member wondering where it is.

Hidden junkyard? Haven't heard about that for a while. The boards used to be full of directions to get to the "hidden junkyard" or "hidden staircase" or "hidden shower". (yes, shower!) :?

What's the best time to go to that junkyard, anyway, cap? I'm hoarding stuff for my packrat av, but every time I go there, it says there's nothing left.

The best time is around 6pm NST I think, many people are online at that time and the more people at the junkyard, the more items show up. But why don't you just buy that stuff from user shops? It's much easier, there isnt much items at that junkyard anyway.

Ah, the Dump. I remember right after the war ended, there was a day where they put more expensive things in there like codestones and mortogs, and a couple other things I can't remember. I picked up like 3-4 codestones that day, but it took *forever*. lol

TNT didn't do anything, the dump stayed the same. The thing is that the more people are in the dump, the more items show up, the more items show up, the more chance of a rare item showing up and since it was just released, many people went there, thats why there were so many rare items showing up. It's quite simple actually.

Because I'm cheap! lol, I've got more than enough in the bank, but I stalk the money tree for stuff I don't have. If I get NP, I donate it back, along with stuff I've already got. I'm just a cheapy!

From what I heard from several people, there is a link to the "Hidden Junkyard" (that's link blocked of course so I'm just saying what I've heard) and it shows "You walk into the Hidden Junkyard and find a [insert random rare item here]!" Its obviously a prank of course.

All of the neo boards are filled with this junkyard stupidity! The HC is just as bad - all newbies believing in the 'something for nothing' fairytale.

I think the reason so many people are being sucked in is because for the last few week people have been posting (in the HC anyway) about a place where random events are more common than anywhere else. Thewere boasting about this pace and refusing to let on the address. Anyone with half a brain cell saw it for the ruse it was, but poor neewbies were asking all over the boards about the 'secret random event place'.

Seeing this junkyard scam going on now makes me wonder if the postings about 'secret random event place' were priming people for the junkyard scam. The newbies were hanging out for an address, and suddenly, *wham* one appeared, so they fell for it...

Ah, a newbie account with pets who are only 3 hours old as of this posting. I'm *sure* it's real.

Well, it was good for a laugh. I rather enjoyed how they coded the petpage to say I had 10k np on hand. I just sat there and basked in that for a couple minutes before I closed out.
